the thread about nothing...

Nice. Did you go with your lady friend? I’ve tried sitting through those types of movies but I kinda get bored. Even attended some with my little nephews and I still ended up looking into my phone.
Nah, went alone. It was unplanned. Just decided to stop by since I had some time to spare.

some were creepy but the rest is I would typically consider as normal.

I wonder why women's tennis and women's ufc thrives but wnba is a dud.
it's the same thing with women's football/soccer. team sports is difficult to promote unless you have extraordinary players that would appeal or blow the minds of spectators or are enjoyable to watch. it's not because they lack talent nor they're bad. they weren't just extraordinary nor extremely hot to promote the sport.

The visual difference/gap between men's and women's basketball is greater than those other sports.

UFC is fighting so that is hard to mess up considering the level of training elite female fighters get. Plus they also have the luxury of being attached to cards eith male fighters. All women's groups aren't popular here. (Invicta)

Tennis is such a simple sport (to the casual eye) that there isn't a huge difference to the men's game to the everyday viewer.

Women's basketball is essentially a different game than men's basketball. In the words of Hubie, "One game is played below the rim while the other is played 10 feet above the box."

initially, basketball wasn't that popular as well. it was only made for people who knew and loved the game. it started to take off when legendary icons came, with some appeal and style to the game. Pistol Pete, strongman Wilt, the Iceman, Dr. J , Bird , Magic then Jordan. basketball took almost a quarter of a century before it became a world sport, thanks to cable and the introduction of the Dream Team. point is, women's basketball is still premature and needed something really special to garner a substantial audience. Sheryl Swoopes for example is a great female basketball player. really good basktball fundamentals, but is she exciting or beautiful enough to watch? you'd be the judge. for me, if I see a really beautiful player with amazing fundamentals and some exciting iconic moves, that would really help their case on promoting women's basketball. the fans and audience need idols to follow and look up to, not kids growing up to be players that just want to play pro-ball and get paid.

I am just saying, outside of major/close-knit college basketball communities, women's basketball will always be compared to men's basketball.

Also, if people are going to spend their time watching "Minor-League" basketball in the SUMMER they would more likely watch Big 3, RIco Hines Runs, FIBA, Olympics, or their Local Pro Ams.

I just can't see how it can get any better but then again, wilder things have happened.
