how does a parlay work?

Don't quote me because I'm not too sure but you select 2 or more games and select the winner for each game. For example tonight, I selected Knicks, Heat, 76ers, Bobcats, and Wizards. The risk was only $10 and if all teams won I would've made $243.97.

Tomorrow I'm doing a 6 team parlay. I basically select the 3 teams I wanted to win then selected whether I think the three games would be over or under. Risked $5 in hopes of winning $249.70.

I can see how this @#^& can get addicting.
