I don't see how reddit is THAT confusing. It's a threaded comment system.

click comments and you read from left to right, top to bottom like you read anything else online

Then replies to comments are indented and if you want to see a different reply, just collapse that part. Then replies to that reply are intended further.

Compare it to NT where you have to scroll past every single post even if it's not related to a specific line of discussion. We have the quote function, which is obviously abused when people pyramid quote endlessly... but if you don't want to read a certain discussion, you don't have the choice to just collapse it.

Plus I know we could benefit from potential downvoting obnoxious or trollish comments at times.

Its not confusing at all, its just annoying. I'm just too used to the way forums are supposed to be. Can you even have usernames on Reddit? I've never seen them. The internet is anonymous as it is already, we dont need people being able to say whatever stupid thing they want without having to stand behind it. At least with user names we know who we should just ignore the majority of the time
