I have been thinking about this they run on wifi right?
I don't have a cable box in my room...but was thinking about just getting a tv and finding a way to stream my ipad to my tv....is it worth it just to get apple tv or just find a way to get my ipad on my screen since i will have netflix hbo go and watch espn then anyway.
the longest minute of my life....microwaving oatmeal....dude standing behind me waiting to use the microwave not saying a word...we both are staring at the timer counting down...

And @Jking0821 , I can't stand when other people wait for you to finish in the common kitchen area. People see me washing out my stuff at the sink see it takes a few minutes and they giving me Kobe stares. F O H, they just have to wait. No damns are given by me.

The Apple TV does work through wifi and they have apps on the TV for most of those services so you won't drain your iPad battery. If you did want to have the iPad you can mirror it through the TV from AirPlay. It's very nice.
