Okay, as you all know I got a new job, but I JUST made it official that I'm leaving last Saturday, both my co-worker and I never put in our 2 weeks with HR but we told my boss that there's a chance we might be leaving.

So yesterday my co-worker got a call from Chase saying his offer was rescinded (Mines is still okay, I start Monday) because he made an error in his work history, so he told my boss this and said he's staying, my boss called me in and told both of us that right after we talked to him he went and filled both of our positions the next day.

So this whole time that I've been stressing about not getting the job, I've already been out of a job.

The thing that irks me is that these exact words came out of his mouth "Well, if it doesn't work out, you'll still have a job here"

Then my co-worker asked him "Can I stay part-time?" he just told him I'll see.

Cue 10 minutes later he talks to him again, covering a smile he tells him "I can't afford to keep you here, not even part-time"

So I'm beyond pissed, my last day is Thursday, but I have a question;

If I quit right now, would it still be considered abandonment?

I mean they have more than enough coverage to cover my shifts since someone's working with me at the same times so they can take care of it.

I was gonna talk to HR today and ask "Hypothetically, if I decide to leave today, would I still get paid for my unused PTO?, and if I leave today can he fire me?"

Because that's all I really care about right now, I have 48 hours PTO I never used that they'll pay me when I quit.

I have been thinking about this they run on wifi right?

I don't have a cable box in my room...but was thinking about just getting a tv and finding a way to stream my ipad to my tv....is it worth it just to get apple tv or just find a way to get my ipad on my screen since i will have netflix hbo go and watch espn then anyway.

The Apple TV does work through wifi and they have apps on the TV for most of those services so you won't drain your iPad battery. If you did want to have the iPad you can mirror it through the TV from AirPlay. It's very nice.

When my skin or my nose tells me to. I don't do it routinely before I goto bed or after I wake up, I do it when I need to. I prefer to sleep barefoot. So I'll take the socks off and put the same ones back on in the morning. Whenever my feet start feeling uncomfortable, then I just go change them.

do i need a smart tv to do airplay though? I feel like im hampered by not having a smart tv

Not at all, the Apple TV acts independent of itself through an HDMI input. Having an Apple TV hooked up essentially kills the need for a smart Tv for the most part. Airplay literally works over wifi so as long as your iPad and Apple TV are connected to that same network youre way good.
