Anybody have any reviews, thoughts, or opinions about 88 Rue du Rhone?

Ideas on the best watch to wear to work under 5k that could be seen as a good investment?

Thanks.

I don't really like to call watches as investments but for under $5k, a used Rolex. It's probably the only watch that will keep it's value best.

That's one of the finalists for my next pick up.

LOVELY.

Rolex is about to reveal something new tomorrow (tonight?) at Basel. Keep an eye out.

Rolex for sure.

I personally like Omegas, wouldn't call it an investment like a Rolex though.

Just picked up a Tissot Seastar the other day, I think they are one of the best watches out there for under $500 range.

Never really cared for Tudor, but they now have my interest.

That matte dark side with nato strap will be looked into.

Reports are about $4,200 which isn't bad considering the current Pelagos with an eta movement retails for ~$4100 right now. You can also get it on a deeper discount unlike Rolex so it's sound like a good deal. I honestly would have one now if the size wasn't a tad too big for me.

They might be getting rid of the 41mm soon, not sure yet though.

Now this has me thinking about the DJ41mm and if they are going to move to a 40mm as well. I was planning on getting one later this year.

How much them rolies running for?

They haven't released the prices yet but they will probably be in the range of the Day Date 41mm, which is more than most NTers can afford, LOL.

Probably like $40k for the gold and $70k for the platinum.

The new 39mm OP would probably be in the Explorer price range.

I am more curious about the Yachtmaster, just love Rose Gold and Black combo. Plus it is nice that it comes in 37mm too.

Going with one of these for my first Rolex more than likely.

I cant do anything under 40mm and that's pushing it.

I think strap is actually more kevlar-like, not nato.

Big fan of the original DSoM here, but that right there, looks like you won't be able see the time at all....and for 12k (I'm assuming it's the same price as the original) to not see the time is crazy :lol
