The Timepiece Thread vol: READ THE 1st POST!!!

Do you guys find the colored bezels to be hard to wear with your daily outfits? I’m not a matching person per se but if I had a Pepsi or Batman, I’d feel like I could only wear it when I had neutral colors on so it acted as an accent. Thats partially why I want a black or slate dj36

depends on your style. if you dont mind/want the attention, then i like the look of your watch contrasting your attire.

Mix matching jewelry doesn’t work at all. Thats why I won’t go TT or gold ever since my wedding ring is white gold.

I wear a lot of neutral colors anyway where a BLNR wouldn’t be an issue dress wise. Gonna check it out again next time I’m at the AD and see if the GMT works for me down the road.

I don't own any Omegas but I like this one with the white dial. Does anyone here own one or any speedy? Any reason why I shouldn't buy one?

Speedy pro was what got me into watches. That said, if you don’t mind a manual wind and no hacking, then you’re good to go.

dumb continues to do dumb things

just release the damn 38mm when most complaints about the speedy is its size but instead they gotta do some bs marketing

If they could get the dial configuration to look like the moonwatch more or even the fois, automatic with 100m water resistance I'd happily but one. I've got my eye on the auto broad arrow 42mm after I saw this review.

You can get a legitimate steel auto aquaracer for between £750 and £1200. I look forward to the day some of these brands realise their cultural currency isn't as high as they think.

This is the ultimate non-watch guy’s watch. $1750 for a quartz?!

The Formula 1 was the first watch to use the Tag Heuer name/logo after Tag’s acquisition of Heuer - something that most watch folks abhor tbh. It might be one of the absolute worst watches in their whole catalog.

The amount of marketing going into this makes me skeptical that RF *actually* has collected these like he said in the Talking Watches video. I feel like this whole thing is a whack publicity stunt and money grab… but I’m sure they’ll sell out so I guess it works.

I'm sure they probably looked at the moonswatch/blancpain hype and thought that they could offer an "elevated" version with actual history. The thing is at that price point, it automatically excludes many of the resellers that drove the hype.
