This Gareth Bale transfer is terrible for football, now every small club with a promising young player is going to demand outrageous amounts of money for their transfer fee.

Wasn't pretty, but Barca got it's first trophy in the Tata era against a very tough - well coached side in Arleti...

Cesc has looked good from preseason through today's match. He has consistently penetrated into the opposing defenses while attempting to create for himself & his team mates.

Defensively, Mascherano is really impressing me.

Alves & those damn crosses are deadly, too bad his teammates can't make the most of his great passes.

Xavi - :frown::smh:

Neymar has done well, especially in his first start today. Great control despite a rough/tough defense. Great movement. Will definitely need to get stronger (not bulkier). He looks like a marked man out there...

Messi's continued problems with his thighs/legs is a little troubling...

Can't wait to see how the season unfolds but a decent start...

What the heck?!?!?! :smh: :x Roma sells off Lamela & now Ajax sells off Eriksen... I was critical of Spurs chairman Levy, but he & AVB have had a deft touch in the summer transfer market. Lost out in Willian & ended up getting one of Europe's top young players.

Eriksen and Spurs have agreed on terms.fee is 11m or so :smh:

:smh:

AVB is building on a daily basis....he better hope he finishes above Arsenal with all of these transfers

But, I honestly wonder if David Moyes has looked at anyone besides Fellaini for midfield.
A lot of attacking midfielders and wingers have swapped jerseys and still we're left with Cleverley, Nani, and Young.

All while Kagawa gets no playing time...

I read somewhere saying, let's give Moyes a chance cause at least he's trying to improve the one place SAF ignored for years. But really, bidding for a player who never really wanted to leave his club. Then not looking at players like Ozil, Eriksen, Strootman, Thiago, Kondogbia...

But just bidding on Baines and Fellaini. Fellaini alone is NOT the answer to our problems.

:smh:

He's in the last year of his contract but I remember earlier in the summer Liverpool supposedly bid almost twice as much. I guess no other clubs were really after him and Ajaz wanted to get some money. But what a ******g steal!

Meanwhile, Arsenal has signed Flamini. Good free transfer for cover, experienced and etc. But FFS, what we have done this summer or haven't done for better words, is beyond embarrassing! :smh:

Journo now to Balotelli:"You are 'dominant' like Ibrahimovic". Mario: "We are different". J:"It's good compliment". Mario:"Yes yes,for him"

^ Should make watching them (the Spurs) on NBC Sports all the more interesting with or without Bale.

So Arsenal fans how ya'll feel about Carlos Vela. He's been out there Flourishing with Real Sociedad since ya'll let him go.

I still rock his Arsenal kit that I have.

He is a great player, but not in England, I'm glad he's in Spain and playing very well. 8)

The teams in this years competition are very strong, this will be an absolutely amazing tourney to watch this year.

you need two to tangle. the club can demand but if no one is willing to pay up, its kinda pointless.

Anyways, still no Keisuke Honda to Milan yet. maybe AC Milan can sign him as a free agent in January

That's already been happening tho. No surprise.

Real are just doing what they've always done, pushing the envelope, flexing there financial muscles. They love the glitz and glamour.

No team in this world would pay more than 60-70 million euro's for Bale, but Real just do it because they can.

:pimp:

Nah I'm just playing, u mean tango. Although tangle makes sense too

And it's pretty obvious Tottenham went on this splurge because of the sale of Bale.

It would have been if like Napoli bought all those players in while working out a deal to sell Cavani.

Apparently Tottenham want to bring in Chicharito now as well. I really like what they're doing.

funny thing i saw on the interwebs tonight

someone reported that manchester united have bid 30m for david luiz

Always thought he had the talent but he simply wants suited for Arsenal with the formation (4-3-3) we play now...or well England in general. He's been playing very well since heading to Spain (30 goal in a like 65 starts or something) Hope he continues to do well. Credit to him for working hard and improving, making the initial loan successful, and likely taking a large paycut all for playing time....he's like the opposite of Bendtner in every way  :smh:

Wouldn't be a Vela goal without chipping the keeper  :smokin

No way we loan out Kagawa.. Id be pissed

Any who... he deff needs match mins, I know Moyes was hell bent on playing Rooney to make a point but hes not going anywhere now, Play Kagawa this weekend

Eto'o joining Chelsea spells the end of Demba Ba's short time at the club. He wasn't even on the bench for the United game. I was expecting Chelsea will make Lukaku their starting striker this season after the success he had with West Brom but it seems Mourinho doesn't think he's ready yet.

Still waiting on Wenger to sign some damn players

With the additions Spurs have made, they have a real chance of finishing above us this season. Oh, Podolski is out for 10 weeks too.

I'm still wondering why Wenger doesn't sign Ba to to cover for Giroud. When fed, Ba can deliver. We saw this at Newcastle.

Do you think Arsenal have the capability to consistently feed Ba though?

Ba is serviceable though, just not consistent (especially when you need him the most). I mean he has one of the best sides (midfield) to service him in Chelsea...

Doubt chelsea would loan to another top 4 team.. but could be wrong.

I honestly think its an ego thing with wenger. He wants to be the one to get all the credit for finding these "gems" for such low prices and in doing so he refuses to buy players with known stature.
