If in the past, there were debt issues, then fine... but I think we've all read his recent interview about not spending this off-season, despite having the funds available to him.  Maybe he has the financial backing, maybe not... just strange that he's maintaining his stance.

Yeah Piers, Rio Michael Owen and Lord Sugar (Spurs) go at it on Twitter... pretty funny stuff.

If this was any other season Arsenal would've been out of the race in February or March. Come next season Man Utd will likely be better and we know that Chelsea and City will make some changes this summer to improve their teams. Then you have a club like Liverpool that should be stronger in the coming seasons with their new ownership.

Meanwhile, expect maybe a few Arsenal bums to be shipped out...i.e. Almunia, Denilson, Rosicky, maybe Squillaci and a few others. Expect a couple of youngsters to be promoted to the senior side...i.e. Landsbury and Ramsey. Maybe a guy like Bendtner is sold for a decent fee. The club is going to make Nasri a very rich man and I cant seem Clichy leaving what is an all but guaranteed starting spot on Arsenal even though he doesnt deserve to start for us. A fight for 4th place awaits us in 2012.
Getting rid of all of those players you don't think Wenger will be forced to buy people?  My fear is that he keeps most of the bums.  Almunia is gone and maybe one other and he stands pat again.  Talking about how young the team is.  This team currently constructed aint winning a EPL or Champions League.  You can never count out FA Cup or Carling because its a cup competition and you can have an easy road to a semi based on upsets and your draw.  The chances are slim in that as well though.
Like I said, my guess is that he promotes a few of the youngsters to the senior side...Lansbury, Ramsey, Frimpong, etc are some of the candidates being mentioned by hardcore Arsenal fans. Like you said, we cant rule out Wenger dabbling into the transfer market and making some signings but dont expect any home runs...a few 5-10m buys here and there. Unfortunately the biggest story surrounding this club this summer will likely be Fabregas' future. I think its inevitable he goes (maybe not this summer) and now I'm wondering if Nasri will be willing to put up with this trophyless nonsense as well. Fabregas, Nasri, van Persie are the three guys who are always visibly upset when the club isnt winning and I think their ambitions may see a couple of them eventually force their way out.

I don't feel bad for them for not winning though.  Only person that has been playing well has been RVP.  Those other two havent done anything in weeks.  Nasri had a point blank shot today that he kicked right at the keeper.  I could see if those two were playing out of this world and still losing but they aren't.  They have no one to blame but themselves.  Not the "club's ambition."  I agree on everything else though.

I don't think anyone knows for sure.  I would wait until the gold cup squad is announced.

Thanks for the warning! I'm just nervous that by the time the roster is announced, the jersey makers will take too damn long to customize my jersey

Balotelli driving City mad with fines
April 25, 2011

By ESPNsoccernet staff
Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli is evidently having as much trouble parking his car as he has putting on a bib, as it has been revealed that his luxury Maserati has been impounded 27 times since his arrival in England.

A report in the Sun has claimed that Balotelli has racked up nearly £10,000 in fines, with an average of three parking tickets per day arriving due to his lack of parking nous.

A source at the club told the paper: "Mario will drive from his luxury apartment to a restaurant a few streets away and leave the car on double yellows. The other week the Maserati misfired so he just abandoned it. Staff have had to bail it out 27 times.

"The valet the club uses empties the glove box of tickets every time he cleans it. Mario doesn't seem to care. It's a drop in the ocean to him.

"Mario was pulled over by the police and he had £25,000 cash on the passenger seat. They asked him why and he said, 'Because I can'. He doesn't care much for authority."
