That rainbow :pimp:
Oscar is a good buy for Chelsea, he would be a good buy for anyone. I believe Chelsea has spent close to 65mil so far this summer.
GB ref was garbage :smh:
Fabio Capello is the new Russian manager

Chelsea has spent more than that. They've spent close to 75-80M euros on Hazard and Oscar alone. That midfield is disgusting. Wonder how Di Matteo gonna find PT for all these guys

One of my favorite new Chelsea jerseys in awhile. :pimp:

Speaking of kits, my new Barca home shirt arrived today. Not bad at all, looks 100x better in person. Online it looked cheap and powerpointish

I'm pretty sure that he's talking about the amount spent in pounds vs your use of Euro. If you are talking pounds, they have spent about 62m and if you're talking Euro, then around 80.

Wow. Sahin to Arsenal would be a big move, even if it's a loan.

"In Wenger We Trust" back on?

Chelsea given green light for Azpilicueta

Marseille could sell defender Cesar Azpilicueta, who has been linked with moves to both Chelsea and Liverpool, as they look to raise funds for new signings.

The Ligue 1 club say either Azpilicueta - rated at £7 million - or Stephane M'Bia could be sold.

Azpilicueta, 22, who is in Britain playing for Spain's Olympics squad, has said he is "flattered" by the link to Chelsea, who have spent heavily this summer as they attempt to build on their Champions League triumph.

Marseille sporting director Jose Anigo told RTL: "Everybody has to sell before buying. In effect, it could either be Stephane M'Bia or Azpi. But, for now, nothing has changed."

In English...more or less

Turkish star to join English club.
Real Madrid midfielder is Nuri Sahin is set to join Arsenal on loan – despite rejecting a move to the Gunners’ neighbours Tottenham earlier this month, reports the Daily Mail.
Sahin was linked with Spurs as part of a deal to take Luka Modric to the Bernebeu but insisted he wanted to stay in Spain.
“Since I arrived here [Real Madrid], it has been like living a dream,” said Sahin at the end of June.
“It is one of the best clubs in the world, and for this reason I do not see why I should go. I have no intention of leaving.”
But the 23-year-old has had a change in heart and agreed a season-long loan with Arsenal.
The Turk made just two La Liga starts last season for the Spanish Champions, having arrived from Borussia Dortmund in summer 2011.
Set-piece specialist Sahin is known for his ability on the ball and was instrumental as Dortmund claimed the Bundesliga title in 2011.
His arrival at the Emirates comes just days after boss Arsene Wenger claimed he was not in the market for central midfield reinforcements.

  • Arsenal have targeted £20m-rated Santi Cazorla, 27, as a central playmaker for next term - and are still chasing Rennes midfielder Yann M'Vila, 22, and 17-year-old Caen forward M'Baye Niang.
  • AC Milan and Real Madrid are set to go head-to-head in a battle to sign Manchester City's 24-year-old defender Micah Richards.
  • Liverpool have moved a step closer to landing 21-year-old Bologna and Uruguay winger Gaston Ramirez after his agent arrived in England for talks.
  • Sao Paulo director Adalberto Baptista has said winger Lucas Moura, a target for Manchester United, will not be leaving the Brazilian club this summer.
  • Another player not destined for the Premier League is Barcelona midfielder Thiago Alcantara, with his father insisting his son will not be leaving the Nou Camp, and hoping he will stay beyond 2015 when his current contract expires.
  • Chelsea could make their fourth big-money buy of the summer after Marseille revealed that Spanish right-back Cesar Azpilicueta, 22, could leave the club.
  • Liverpool are likely to reject West Ham's £17m bid for 23-year-old striker Andy Carroll.
  • Meanwhile Swansea insist they will not definitely sell Joe Allen to the Anfield club even if they meet the £15m release clause in the midfielder's contract.
  • Manchester United and Arsenal are interested in signing 21-year-old defensive midfielder Victor Wanyama from Celtic.
  • Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has rejected reports linking them with Manchester City's 27-year-old midfielder Nigel de Jong.
  • Brazil star Ganso, 22, is ready to snub interest from Arsenal and AC Milan to stay at Santos - despite failing to agree a new contract.
  • Everton hope to persuade Dutch international defender John Heitinga to stay at Goodison despite a bid from Turkish club Fenerbahce.
  • West Brom are monitoring Villarreal's 25-year-old Colombian international defender Cristian Zapata, who is also thought to be a target for Everton.
  • Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert is considering £6m-rated Ipswich defender Aaron Cresswell after reportedly losing interest in signing Feyenoord's Dutch international Ron Vlaar.
  • Rangers should today receive membership of the Scottish FA, which will allow them to sign Ian Black on a four-year-old deal, re-sign Andy Little, while Craig Beattie is poised to commit himself to the new club, which is also in talks with Dean Shiels.
  • Scotland Under-21 midfielder Rhys McCabe has agreed to join Sheffield Wednesday, with the Championship newcomers offering defender Mark Reynolds in exchange to Rangers.

most Spanish outlets have picked up the story. I believe there is truth to it. Not necessarily that Arsenal is the club but that the option of loaning him out is possible now, it wasn't before. My theory is whoever chose Arsenal as the club jumped the gun to try to break the story first. it's not at that stage just yet. This would be a good opportunity for Manchester United to step in. I maintain that they need a player of his skill-set in midfield. They just signed Kagawa who shared bright moments with Sahin at Dortmund. Even if they have to pay 100% of the player's wages, the salary is not ridiculous.

No doubt Sahin would fit in the EPL, coming from Germany and having basically been the key man at Dortmund 2 years ago. But Marca retracted the Arsenal part after that article was published online.

The question is whether Sahin will leave Madrid, he basically said he won't come to Spurs, even though he would be a dream addition to the midfield. I don't realistically see him at Arsenal even though they could really use him. Sahin is just unlucky being at Madrid because of the talent they have in the center of the park.
