Klopp rates the Dutchman among the best players in the game.

"When we played against Arsenal in London, I saw the best striker ever: Robin van Persie," Klopp enthuses. "I did not know that a player could play three positions for ninety minutes.

"It was a great experience."

Where do you guys watch the games? :nerd:

i just got FSC and BeIN so I've been hooked on that. ESPN3 is showing ANC and shows some BPL games I believe along with some International play. Streams can always be found, but im not sure what the best places for those are.

Firstrow...but i usually just use that for man city fixtures and I watch w/e match espn2 shows on Saturday morning....can't wait for NBC to get EPL rights next season...b/t them and espn I should be good :pimp:

Zaha arriving for medical

For the backstory
234174

Thomas had a relationship with American model Tyson Beckford, whom she first met at the Sanderson Hotel.[4] Since her appearance on Big Brother she has dated Russell Brand,[5] polo player Jamie Morrisson,[6] and footballers Matthew Collins of Swansea City, Nery Castillo of Aris FC and Tottenham Hotspur's Jermain Defoe.[7]
In July 2009, it was reported that Thomas was diagnosed with swine flu following a holiday in Marbella. On return to the UK, she was quarantined in her flat.[8]
Thomas actively supports the children's hospice, and climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in June 2011 for them.[9]
In April 2011, Thomas was reported in The Sun to have had a six-month relationship with an unnamed and married Premier League footballer.[10] A gagging order, known as CTB v News Group Newspapers,[11] was granted in the High Court of England and Wales by Mr Justice Eady, preventing the footballer from being named in the media;[12] it was reported in non-UK media sources that the footballer in question was Ryan Giggs.[13][14] Thomas subsequently took advice from publicist Max Clifford, who commented: “Imogen never had any desire nor intention to sell her story, however if she had and was able to name the footballer she could easily command £250,000".[1][15]
On 22 May 2011, the Sunday Herald, a Scottish newspaper, published a thinly disguised photograph of Ryan Giggs on its front page, effectively ending the anonymous court order CTB v News Group Newspapers involving Imogen Thomas.[16][17] The paper added in its editorial column, "Today we identify the footballer whose name has been linked to a court superinjunction by thousands of postings on Twitter. Why? Because we believe it is unsustainable that the law can be used to prevent newspapers from publishing information that readers can access on the internet at the click of a mouse."[18] On 23 May 2011, Giggs was identified in the House of Commons as the footballer concerned.[19]
On 15 December 2011, Mr Justice Eady accepted that Thomas had not attempted to blackmail the footballer Ryan Giggs, and suggested "There is no longer any point in maintaining the anonymity." The injunction preventing the naming of Ryan Giggs remained in place. Thomas stated after the court hearing: "I'm just relieved that the parties and the court now accept that I'm no blackmailer. I have been vindicated and that's all I wanted. I have nothing to add – it's all behind me now."[20] On 21 February 2012 Ryan Giggs agreed to his name being revealed, and admitted Thomas did not try to blackmail him.[21]
On 5 August 2012, Thomas announced that she was pregnant with her first child.

So with Zaha now on board with the Reds, does that mean Nani is gone? Does Zaha know how to flip like Nani?

Still up for debate. I think nani is gone either way in the summer. I still see Zaha going out on loan for a season or two to develop. Scary that these days you can pay up to 15m for someone who will go on loan. But I guess that's the nature of the game these days.

That's what is surprising about this for me...

Watched that live.

Heard or read somewhere he compares to Victor Moses. Not sure how accurate that is. Not that watching highlights gives you a good overview of a player, but here's something to look at...Zaha has come up pretty fast... The one stat that looks a little suspect is that he's had 100+ appearances for Crystal Palace as a winger/strike, you'd think he'd have more goals...

Not sure what to expect from Zaha... as I know nothing about him.  Don't even know where he plays.

In other news...
Da fuq?

He plays at Crystal Palace. Decent player in lower level (granted he's only 20), but I think he's over-hyped because he's English. The media hypes him as a God. It's not even like he was a Powell situation where he was completely BOSSIN it his a lower league, showing great promise. I think 15m for him is crazy (but then again, Bebe was 7m ) and I know some of the premium was cause he's English. But really, Chicha was rumored at 6-7m. Time will tell though, since the club is based on taking youth and molding them coupled with experienced players. Maybe he'll shine....

edit: ^^^ exactly what I thought. I would think he was beasting out there, but since I didn't see his assist stats, I figured, maybe he didn't put away too many goals, but made a lot of them. Still not sure about the kid.

Rumor is that Arsenal triggered Diame's release clause and that he's having a medical now....but we'll see |I

I don't know IMASOLEMAN18, Zaha has a lot of potential/upside but I guess we'll see. The English press seems to love him, but then again they love all their futbollers...

Whelp, looks like Chelsea's Hazard is going to face more than 3 games.

...The Football Association on Friday charged Chelsea winger Eden Hazard with violent conduct for kicking a ball boy during a League Cup semifinal match against Swansea.

The FA said Friday the normal three-match ban that is a mandatory sanction for violent conduct "was clearly insufficient."

Hazard has until Jan. 29 to respond to the charge, the FA said on its website, and after that will face a harsher penalty...

Rest of the post can be found on ESPN FC.
