The Walking Dead - Official Thread

this is like the MTV version of walking dead...bad actors and all makes me cringe @ some parts

i doubt this show makes it to a  season  4

the focus point on this show is interracial relationships

im confused as hell on who is real mom or real dad ..are the brother and sister really brother and sister?

i relate more to the little brother who wants no parts in this mess :rolleyes

oh yeah..orange is new  black milf

If it had a large viewership the first episode, it will all but guarantee a second season. The original series has been getting by on its name alone for years now and last night was more of that. It wasn't a good pilot.

The brother and sister are brother and sister. Their father is their stepfather.

The fat Mexican kid with the knife is dudes son?....show did a terrible job at passing that off....lmaooooooooo

No. He was just a regular student. His son is the kid who didn't want to talk to him over the phone.

The next episode looks pretty cool

I had low expectations coming in, I had just hoped the new show offered an angle on the cause of it all. If they don't end up doing that I'll probably be disappointed.

I don't think the whole "let's see how a family holds it together" angle is going to last very many seasons. We have already seen pretty much how families dealt with the Apocalypse for the most part. I could see it lasting for a few seasons at most

Prepare to be disappointed, because we will not be seeing the cause or origination in this season, and most likely never will.

Yeah I am, like I said I had low expectations coming in. I don't foresee the actors and character depth don't touching the ones from Season 1 Walking Dead

Seems like a B-Side type series but what can you realistically expect from a spin-off/prequel type show

They were smart to limit the first season to six episodes. The original show isn't in a position to garner enough fans for a spin-off.

Bro you have no clue wth you talmbout

Show is one of the most successful shows ever and it has only picked up in fan base, TWD is HUGE.

As a walking dead fan, I am definitely gonna give this show a chance all the way through the season. Mom and daughter are pretty annoying. It is cool though seeing all the scenes taking place in LA. I'm like, oh I've been there. Lol. Pretty funny seeing them drive past a park and seeing a homeless man walking like a walker.

The show has a lot of potential. Like what some of you mentioned, seeing a major city such as Los Angeles go into hysteria over the zombie outbreak. I appreciated the way they filmed the episode, too (Possibly a slower frame rate that TWD?) The actors are okay for what they do. The story could be cleaned up a bit. Personally, I think the Step dad (Cliff Curtis) character would have been good if he was detective for LAPD. Just because your stepson details the experience he had, doesn't give you any justification to visit a junkie filled church. Smh. I thought the plot twist of the tweaker's friend being a dealer was good.

Six-episode mini-series has a lot of potential. I'm expecting the pace of the show to be a lot faster than TWD.

Glad to see Detective Sammy Bryant from Southland get on the show lol.

Sidenote, I miss Southland.

100 % agree on the Southland. One of the best shows that was cut way to early.  You said Sammy was on Fear the Walking Dead? Who did he play?

Some else mentioned is there an official Fear the Walking Dead thread. I searched and I couldn't find one, there needs to be an official thread.

He was in the preview for the upcoming episodes...He looked like he was playing a military guy. Hopefully he becomes a central character to the show.
Anyone watch gang related. Dad was a gang kingpin/lord in that series. Lol.
Yeah, I watched the pilot. Had no idea that the show was cancelled so quick lol.

Side note, the mom in this show was the owner of the escort service in SOA lol...It had to be a body double whenever she got down with Jax because she doesn't look that thick lol.

I didn't even realize the mom was the detective from gone girl. My gf pointed it out. I knew I had seen her somewhere recently.

Usually when a patient is crashing they'll take them to surgery, think that's what was happening.

If ya wanna know the exact protocol, no patient moves from a stretcher while in cardiac arrest in a hospital, not to the OR or any other place, till an airway is secure and patient is resuscitated....but these are shows and when it comes to hospital protocols they are usually very off because unless you work in a hospital you won't laugh at their silliness....lol

When they wheeled homie off in cardiac arrest, I laughed.
Story Sync explained it while it was going on.
World Health Organization basically telling doctors that if they cannot resuscitate in 60 seconds to immediately declare dead and move to the morgue asap.

In a perfect world fellas, in a perfect world...

right on thanks. morgue must be lit.

once my man hits up the homies from Hillside Trece, its finna be a wrap.
Man I didn't even realize it was that guy.

Seems like a decent show. This show still won't reveal how it actually happened right? Since they didn't know anything even in the Walking Dead which is like 10 years later.

My guy...this show is essentially starting right after Ricky got capped in the first EP. The time he was spent in the coma, the outbreak happened nation/worldwide.

Therefore, the show is beginning maybe a few weeks before season 1 TWD really started going
