Acting like that 08 Cs team just had 1 good year is disingenuous as hell. They won 62 games the following season, but KG only played 57 and missed the playoffs, and they lost to the Magic (who made the Finals) in 7 games. The next year they make the Finals and lose in 7 games because their starting C tore his ACL 6 minutes into Game 6. Got washed by the Heatles the following season, but then took the best Heatles team with everyone in their prime to 7 games in the ECF the year after.
moral victories.

you hate to see it.

The funny thing about what Doc is saying is Kawhi told them to get PG, told them I'm showing up for work when I want.

Kawhi is just quiet and low key so it don't look like he's controlling anything. Somebody like Doc ain't with this over the top "load management". He ain't got no choice but to accommodate Kawhi because he knows superstars run the team.

Nah what do you mean?

The Clippers have no Spotlights, All Grit no glam they would never succumb to superstar demands

LeBron with basically 3 assist of the year candidates in 3 straight games:

Against the Pacers:

Against the Hawks:

Against the Heat:

Leading the league in assists in his 17th season. :pimp:
Leading the league in scoring and assists 13 seasons apart. :pimp:

Imagine having so much irrational hate in your heart to think this man is not GOAT.

keep it a buck and stop being cheeky, only 1 of those passes was special. and it was the over the shoulder pass. That tip to AD was just a tip. AD still had to extend to get it. And the bounce through the legs, been common for years. it was even a play in golden state's playbook. except it was Zaza no-look through the legs to curry for 3, they ran it often.

that over the shoulder was def Magic-esq

I love KG, one of my favorite athletes ever period but he talks too much big ****. :lol

That Celtics team is not ever brought up in the "Best all time teams" discussions. They had a really good but him and Paul Pierce talk like they was the 80's Celtics. And to all the people that say "well Lebron played in a weak eastern conference..." That's the same weak eastern conference the Celtics played against.

So then it's fair to say the Lakers lost the finals in 08 because their starting center missed the entire SERIES. :lol

The East has generally always had a few really good teams that could compete with the best teams in the West. The depth of the conference was just trash.

Who? Other than the Pistons, Heatles and Big 3 Celtics and those teams wasn't great at the same time.

From 01 to that 04 Pistons team the East best teams was the Nets twice and AI's sixers. Those teams was getting smacked in the finals. Then in 07 the Cavs couldn't compete with the Spurs, in 09 the Magic couldn't compete with the Lakers. It's been some years where the East had MAYBE 2 teams that mattered and that was it.

Sure. It's still an L no matter how you slice it. Only one team lifted the trophy. Just like 2010.

You right. It is a L no matter what, which is why I don't get him using the injury excuse when both teams had injuries when they lost.

My argument was that the Cs were much more than just a one season team like some folks in here seemed to be insinuating. That is all. Boston and LA were the 2 elite teams of that 3 year span. They were very evenly matched.

Celtics in general as a franchise are overrated seeing as most of their titles came pre civil rights act.

First team to draft a black player. First team to start 5 black players. First team with a black HC. :nthat:

That over the shoulder was :pimp: agree with you on the other two. Hell the lefty behind the back pass in the same clip vs the Pacers was better
