To this day, I say that this is the only logical motivation behind the trade.

He's too data driven to look at Russ's age, injury history, and playoff performances to trade THAT MUCH for Russ. There's no logical explanation for it other than CP3 has to go, so Russ in theory is a tangible replacement.
