The only guy I would've taken over Zo was Fox. That's the only other guy I could easily see building a contender around

Not everyone loves it. In fact, my wife and son hate it I use things they said against them during an argument.
^^^ And Rubio hasn’t exactly been blessed to be in great situations in the NBA. For a guy who’s best attribute is passing, not being surrounded by a ton of talent was a disadvantage.
And Utah was a good team, but not the best fit for him because of the slow pace they played at.
I think they will still suck, but he is a really good addition for them. He'll have a huge impact on Ayton. How do you think he will do with the Suns? It seems like a good fit, I just don't know if they will win a lot, it's still a dysfunctional franchise.
This thread was actually good in hindsightI actually wrote a thread on choosing Fox over Lonzo ball when the lonzo hype train was in full force

His job is legit just to feed Ayton and make him better. Put him in positions to flourish.Agree. If they play uptempo and really give Rubio the keys to the offense, I think he’ll put up very good numbers.
But the West is stacked so they’ll still be once of the worst teams in the conference...
Booker not having to play the role of facilitator will benefit Phoenix greatly too.
What's interesting is that they got high win projections from FiveThirtyEight 37 and Pelton 38
how does that make sense if Booker a world-class playmaker?
Never forget he said this on draft nightI want to see Ayton shoot 3s. His jumper is smooth and he's a good FT shooter.
Dude about to be unstoppable offensively as long as he actually gives a ****.

YEP. We'll seeNever forget he said this on draft night
NEW YORK -- Deandre Ayton was asked Wednesday to define what success in the NBA looks like to him.
"Definitely getting to my second contract; that's my success," Ayton said at media availability for top lottery picks.
Been an Ayton guy since I saw him make Josh Jackson almost cry in high school. He's got all the tools to be a dominant big in the league, just hope he puts in the right work and stays motivated. 16 10 and 2 at 59% shooting with 1 block and steal a game is a pretty damn solid rookie year.
Satoranksy >>> Rubio
