a non contender trading assets for a player set to be a free agent this summer is the definition of hustling backwards.
the only thing worse I can remember is the knicks trading THJR to the hawks, to then resign him to a big deal a year later.

The Trez trade talk is just so stupid to me.
Drummond? You have to send out like 3-4 players to get him, and he's probably going to command an even bigger bag than Trez this summer.
Why mess with something that works so well (Lou/Trez PnR) when you are trying to win a championship THIS YEAR?
Doesn't make sense. You don't pinch pennies when you have Kawhi and BPG on the team in their prime.
