yep. i'd guess that the high valuation of the team was based in part on Tilman being able to market his other products (casinos/restaurants) to the chinese market.

with that said, tilman was displaying cheap tendencies from his first offseason here, well before the morey/china ordeal.

utah seems a little high for a team seemingly in a free fall. 4 straight losses to houston, san antonio, denver, and portland. next 7 games vs denver, vs portland, at houston, at dallas, vs miami, vs san antonio, vs houston.

things could get spooky for utah real quick.

Utah is properly placed, they are interchangeable with Houston. I’d probably flip flop them

He’s regressed as a defender big time and just came off of a horrid month in that regard, and the way doc uses him lowers the Clippers ceiling. Doc closed games with a poor defending 5 playing 15-18 straight minutes.

To be clear I absolutely think lac can win a chip with trez, but there aren’t too many starting centers who can’t defend or shoot 3’s on title teams. Lou / Trez PnR also hasn’t been as potent

Trez is a talented good stats guy who sneakily can tank your defense and as a strict 5 that’s dangerous

I haven’t listened to the pod yet, but I do think it makes a lot of sense. Boston has the draft capital that Houston needs in order to get another wing, and they can give Houston a really solid small ball 5 for their system. Boston could use a legit, long term starting center.
