You could have stopped here and your post would've been hilarious. The rest was just icing on the cake...

am i being told that the lakers rejected a trade sending alex caruso and a 2nd round pick for derrick rose because they think darren collison, who retired from the nba to become a latter day saint, is going to come in and seamlessly fill their void at point guard? and then because they think they can use alex caruso to get a quality wing player?
You're exactly right sir.

Collison is perfect for PNR and creating open looks for others as well as himself. Let's not act like he's 37 going on 40. Dude is 32 and all we need him to do is be 2x better than Rondo.

Caruso, in spite of the flashes of brilliance this year, gets the Lakers the defensive piece they need to guard 6'8 and 6'9" wings in the playoffs.

What the Lakers lose with the 6'5" KCP. They gain with the 6'9" Morris.

What LA loses with KCP's shooting, they gain with more minutes for Bradley and Green at the 2, with Daniel's and Cook backing them up while Collison and Bron run point.

LA's small forwards in turn get deeper with Lebron, Kuzma, and Morris.

What Lakers lose with AC, they gain with Collison.

Lakers become more balanced as a whole. Of course, all this dont work if LAL doesnt secure Collison.

Collison is the key

Anybody proposing to trade KcP is stupid.
he fills a vital role for the team and deserves to play critical 4th quarter minutes. Plus his contract isn’t bad + you get his bird rights this offseason. I’m not trading him just because I need to make a move.

its the knicks
You're right... the Knicks without Mills. That has not happened in lke for ever.

Kuzma is not enough, not even with the rest of the bums ya trying to give for Morris.

Morris is a legit threat from three . Heh would open up the paint immensely for Lebron and AD to operate.

Ya want him, pay a premium.

Either team shouldn’t try to trade for Morris. It’ll be a rental. Bruh already rejected the Clipper deal

I think both teams don’t really care if he’s a rental b/c they wanna win this year’s title that bad. I expect either one of them to make that trade for him.

I guess....... but again i'm not big on Morris at all and KCP has been our third most consistent starter and has been playing his role perfectly. Caruso is also a good fit for this team and does great defending guards
All true and I see both sides. I'm perfectly fine as well if the team dont make any moves save for the buyout route.

Something's telling me though that something is still missing....

lakers fans really care about some scrub in the g league  :smh:

That has to be the expectation but both teams lose too much by trading for him especially if the Clippers lose Montrez or the Lakers lose a Kuzma

I feel you. I guess they feel they have to make some form of a sacrifice to hoist that trophy this year.

People keep forgetting he has a No Trade Clause too.
He's not going anywhere.

I'm against this, this is a lateral move at best & it could weaken our team next year also. Morris is basically a little more consistent Kuzma, & he's a real black hole. He is a clear upgrade on defense but he ain't exactly a stopper.

and again considering our lack of young talent and assets going forward i'm not willing to throw in THT.

We've seen this story too may times of Laker picks being shipped out and becoming really good young pieces.

When it's to get Lebron or AD, sure **** them kids. when it's thrown in for one year rentals of aging role players, Nah i'm done with that.
The primary reason why I wouldn't trade for Morris is because he is likely to walk at the end of the season.

But he's good and would compliment the team for a championship run. *Shrugs*

Marcus Morris has been on 5 teams in 8 season

Has formerly been traded
- straight up for avery Bradley (2017)
- Packaged with the remains of Danny Granger & Reggie bullock.... for a SECOND ROUND PICK

Now suddenly people are acting as if he's deserving of some major assets to acquire

Morris' year expiring deal and what he brings to the table far exceeds KCP's tendency to be inconsistent ntm the lakers have a logjam at the 2.

Dont let KCP's string of 35 solid games or so fool you. He's still KCP and is liable to get cold and freeze up and turn the ball over in bunches at any given moment.

Meanwhile the Lakers not only upgrade at the SF position but they get a tough 30 year old vet who's not only had significant playoff experience but is also consistently averaging 20 ppg, 6 boards, 82% FT, and 45% 3's this year.

For this Laker team, you would be stupid to take KCP over Morris.

Watch AB production go up once KCP is dealt. Bradley, if on point, can do everything KCP can do.
