Title Odds??? i ain't say a thing about a title. Being in good position is relative to all.

Being in a good position to me is being a championship contender, the Celtics aren't that & i don't see a scenario where they could turn into that anytime soon. This is basically a revamped version of the team they had a few years ago... except this time they don't have numerous assets to squander.

I think Boston as of right now has a second round ceiling, and i don't think that's changing w/o some unforeseen addition, or unless you think EXTREMELY high of Jalen Brown (which i don't).

I've said it numerous times this season but the dynamicof this team reminds me a lot of the Bud Hawks. who had a nice array of good players, but none were great or dominant & it led to great regular seasons and disappointing playoffs.

Celts and Lakers are both getting washed in the conference finals by the 2 best teams in the league, the Bucks and Clips. They are in the same position. One team is just younger.

IT should've taken a 4 year/60M deal at the time. He miscalculated his worth; I'll respect his heart/effort that season but no one is paying a 5'8-5'9 cat mega money.

Ben. It's 2020. You can't have your best player refuse to take 3s. Especially your PG. It limits the offense of the entire team. Embiid you can build around. He just needs spacing around him but at least he can ****ing shoot the ball.

It’s 2020 and big ball dominate centers ain’t the move anymore especially ones that miss 20+ games a year. Building around . embiid basically means building a team that has to plan for him missing extended periods of time

if worse comes to worse you can move Ben to the 4 and let him keep playing how he wants. Embiid ain’t gonna last 3 more years

Ben doesn’t need a jump shot to consistently put up 20/8/8 with elite defense on efficient shots.

If you build around someone who refuses to shoot, you'll never win. Not in today's game.
Can't shoot can be worked on. Won't shoot is something else entirely. Won't even use the right ****ing hand.
Ben can't be the most important player on your team like that. Can't even really be 2nd option. Regular season sure.
But it's too easy to gameplan for that once the playoffs come around. Teams are going to want the ball in his hands.

refusing to shoot 3s for ben is an overstated issue. the practical effect of him refusing to shoot is that teams just sag off of him. unless he becomes a proficient shooter, teams are going to continue to sag like they do to giannis. if you sag off of either though, you give them a running head start at you and both can finish around the rim. I'd rather ben with a small ball center/stretch 5 guy and shooters around.

i'd basically try and recreate what the rockets are doing with russ. the big difference is simmons is 6'9 and can help in the rim protection department. add a stretch big, some shooters, and flourish. instead, elton brand decided to keep embiid, and double down by bringing on horford.

Perfectly fine for him to have the live, love, laugh philosophy; but whether he needs to broadcast it on IG ,while also showcasing a picture of himself doing something individually impressive, right after a team loss, is another question.

Look at how Atlanta is building around trae. A bunch of athletic wings, huerter and now Capela. Traes gonna be slinging that ball now and that’s just gonna make him even more open for shots. Ben needs that and a shooter

Definitely living up to that SN do work son , I agree with you on the analysis. Horford's contract and his semi-washedness going to be a problem though.

Difference is that Giannis will still shoot to keep people honest and will blow by you if you step up. No one is gonna go that for Ben until he at least attempts it

Ben is a good defender but not a rim protector. what ever stretch big you bring in has to protect the rim. Only a few guys fit that category and are not turnstiles on D. Dedmom, Lopez twins, Myers Leonard and oh Joel Embiid

He was the one deeming Ben a PG, didn’t want Ben and Jimmy to share the ball, didn’t want Fultz and Ben sharing the ball.

Guys were brought in to handle to ball and move Ben off ball. Now all of sudden we want to do that when the PGs have all been traded and left

KD is really all over the place in this interview. On one hand he's expressing that he was genuinely hurt by Dray and how the situation was handled, and how he subsequently isolated himself, and on the other side he's talking about how it was a media narrative. KD's most humanizing moment is that he's full of contradictions, just like regular people.

He's also explained why he wanted to leave OKC for GSW so many different ways. I can't keep up.
