nick. nick. Doubt the Rockets squad is going to win it all and neither were the Pacers when that photo was taken.

There is a clear difference in 'sweetness/flagrancy' between the two photos though. :smh: :smh: :smh:

Super Bron stans like leavemeglazzies leavemeglazzies Can’t grasp that concept. They think the true measure of a players greatness is how bad the team is without them. Not how a great player functions within a full team concept, puts up numbers, wins and is an environment with great coaching where everybody is empowered and the sum of their parts hold their own, and raise their levels.

It should never be a slight on Giannis that he’s playing under a good coach who maximizes him and his teammates talent. That mode leads to the highest chances of winning consistently. Of course...individual greatness raises that bar....but there can be a cost of being over reliant on a superstar....instead of empowering a team.

"Not reliant on a superstar", huh? Yet Giannis leads the league in usage rate with a massive 37.7%. When he's on the floor, they rely on him more than any other team relies on any player in the league. It's just that when he's off the floor, they're blowing opponents away as well.

I'll tell you and the other "the media is stanning LeBron" conspiracy theorists one thing: You can thank your lucky stars that it is the media who picks what players should get what awards. Because if it was another entity, like say NBA coaches who voted, then LeBron would've had an extra couple of more MVPs, a DPOY and possibly the 2015 Finals MVP. There might be some LeBron fans in the media, but there are a ton of people in the media who hate the guys' guts just as much as you do and wouldn't vote for him under any circumstances.

That is why they are constantly shifting the criteria for what MVP is, from season to season. For a ton of years, the narrative was that LeBron was playing in the "weak east", but for mysterious reasons that narrative has completely disappeared this year in favor of a player from the east. When LeBron led a crappy 2017-18 Cavs squad to a 50-win season, that record wasn't impressive enough for MVP, even though they gave it to a 47-win Westbrook the previous year. Every season they are shifting the criteria of what MVP is just so LeBron won't get his fifth, but you just keep comforting yourself that it's a massive propaganda campaign in favor of him winning.

was this a photoshoot curse or a "lance stephenson ****ed roy hibbert's girl and messed the team chemistry up" curse?

It was actually PG that ****** Roy's girl and Lance aired it out during a practice. Roy never recovered.

Bucks aint winning nothing.

They the new D Rose bulls, lots of promise and great record but ultimately you knew damn well they werent gonna win it all.

Had some access to All-Star events here in Chicago... and man. It was a great time. Loved it. City really embraced it. But a lot of buzz was about the Bulls and how people cant figure out how they are so bad and cant take advantage of the city and what it has to offer.

Made me sad. Damn ownership and Gar/Pax.

Well said.

Perfect example of this is when Jordan retired in '93 and the Pippen-led Bulls still went far in the playoffs in spite of having Pete Myers at shooting guard.

It's the elite superstar (Giannis, MJ) however that makes the difference between playoff contender and championship contender.

He was 19 when he sent that DM.

Most 19 years old too scared to approach/call/text anyone. He was respectful and did fine.
He played it right, asked for the digits and aint say nothing wild that could haunt him
He seems like a gentleman, but those type of pickup lines don't really work unless you're rich, extremely good-looking, or she already has interest in you.

You'd have a better chance commenting on a post/story with some sort of witty comment or a conversation starter.
Most girls already know that you have interest in them, so you don't wanna compliment her appearance just outright.
It's fine to compliment specific features though (Ex, eyes, hair, etc).

But then again, he was 19 so that's understandable.
