The Raptors won because they're playoff rotation were all above average defenders and they could all shoot the 3 at a respectable rate. Having a steady rotation where all players are competent on both ends goes a long way.

LeBron took 33 shots per game in the 2015 finals and didn’t come close to breaking any scoring record. That could have very well turned into that ‘07 Pistons series but Iggy & co made him earn everything. Every bit as important as any 3 that Steph made.

There’s no way he would have made a decision before the Season started and been able to sleep at night. Somewhere along the way....KD (and Kyrie even) figured out the media machine was bigger than just basketball. So that’s why they withdraw now...and talk about “perfecting their craft, and hooping”. They won’t get the credit they deserve. KD in OKC/GSW etc....Kyrie on Clev/Boston. And those two remain largely in the shadow of Bron.
