So typical that I post my county’s numbers that this thread was ready to dispute and it’s all crickets now lolllll

Beautiful basketball is beautiful basketball, even if my team is on the wrong end of it.

That’s really how you can tell the people in here who are true fans of the game from stans and people whose team fan hood is the cornerstone of their self-esteem.

no more pickup ball for all of eternity.
This right here, never mind the NBA, when can the average Joe play 5 vs 5 pickup ball again where it is accepted in indoor gym situation? In Georgia gyms are allowed to be open but with strict social distancing enforced. So if that is followed correctly that rules out basketball. I’m thinking end of summer (Sept) at the earliest. Thoughts?

^^^ Dudes keep trying to run full at the park near my house. Cops give them about 10 minutes and break it up.

Do people go full Russell Westbrook for those ten minutes? I imagine it's gotta be fast paced and lots of ballhogging to get shots up.

Between this and the crazy car accident with the driving fleeing through your property, it seems like neighborhood is lit as hell during quarantine

The city down here went and took most of the rims down on public courts. The majority Latino part of town gives no effs and arent waiting any longer. They're bbqing in the parks and letting the kids play. I saw a few gatherings being broken up.

My neighborhood is really interesting. The single family homes are up to median price of $1.5 million, but we have homeless tent villages on multiple locations nearby and and the one West Los Angeles housing project like 1.5 miles away. I love it, honestly.

It’s hard to believe, but it’s true.

Santa Monica actually had its own Crip set briefly - Graveyard Crips - and they were named for that graveyard near SMC. Some of the kids I played ball with at the Santa Monica Boys Club had brothers who were affiliated. That was done by the early 90s though. Whole area was fully gentrified just a couple years after I graduated high school.

Serious, man. When I went to Santa Monica High School from 1990-1994 we had a drive-by in the student parking lot, a Latino v. Black race riot after a pep rally, a week off after the Rodney King riots and and another week off due to the Northridge Earthquake. I‘m not complaining.
