They gonna cancel the season, idk why they even trying to extend this whole crap anyways and leave players wondering.

Maybe they can plan one exhibition game, have players who want to play and staff tested prior to the game and have proceeds donated to covid charity. Thats about it.

rumors were that the nba want to plays the rest of the season at disney world wide world of sports.

guys i've talked to personally, said a lot of them arent interested. No interest in returning under different conditions or being away from their families or having to being on a fixed schedule just playing ball and nothing else. Players typically have a free flow schedule, mixed with their own chefs or eating programs, training, practice or not, and then games. Most of them want the season to be cancelled just so they can move on, they felt like theyve been on the hook for months and dont know what to do as far as if they should be staying in shape or just chill lol

Been saying I doubted most players would be feeling the “bubble” idea and wasn’t even thinking about stuff like them not having access to chefs, trainers, etc.

Even if they did it, I just don’t think the product would end up being that great. Most of these guys are creatures of routine and really used to the typically NBA schedules, arena atmospheres. Put them in weird environment with a totally different schedule and I just don’t think you’ll get them at their best.

^^^ I wonder if MJ has any regrets about doing the documentary now.

As much as it’s reaffirmed for a lot of people his greatness as a player, it’s opened up all new scrutiny of him as a person. People looking now about his treatment of teammates, gambling and death of his father, lack of political involvement, etc. Wonder if he thought about those potential repercussions when he was doing the interviews.

I dont think the doc has really brought to light anything that people who follow the game didn't already know or suspect.

He sounded scared about the public reaction before the doc started airing but it's been quite generous to him overall and ruthless towards his enemies which is understandable since he had final say on everything

Basically highlights that he might be the most competitive and focused human to ever live while not the warmest or most affable dude off it.

Might be a shock to folks who didn't have much background info on those Bulls and only had the god like public perception of him post retirement to go off of but I haven't really been surprised by anything we've been shown.

He can be the GOAT while also not being the nicest dude, both can be true. One doesn't need to take anything away from the other imo.

It’s actually good for him in that regard. Peeling back some of the layers and making him more of a flawed person and less of a recluse. Russillo on Simmons pod had a good take on this. Makes him more like-able in some senses...to the hardcore basketball fan. And his recent meme-ability.....and persona makes these stories somewhat comical in certain aspects.

It always amazes me that these professional basketball players can't lift weights properly. I know they're not football players or weightlifters and weightlifting isn't part of basketball culture the same way it is for other sports but come on! they're going to injure themselves lifting weights like this.

I learned proper weight lifting form in 9th grade and I was never anything close to a professional athlete. The fact that these guys are professional athletes (proper strength and conditioning is part of their job) and they lift this way is crazy.

With the sheer number of workout videos I've seen NBA players using horrendous form, I'm starting to think their trainers are telling them to lift this way.

Yeah, you’re right. The overall reaction has been good for him. Things like people in here the other day pushing for Mike to be exiled into the far reaches of outer space because of his gambling 30 years ago are more the exception than the rule.

All the Ball brothers move weird :lol. Gelo runs like a football player on a basketball court. Lamelo does that weird thing with his hands when he runs. And Zo got that weird shooting form.

Lavar done got an entire gym in his home....and Lonzo lifting weights in his high school friends garage :lol.

Interesting family man. Interesting lol.
