I was definitely looking forward to playoff Rondo, and I think Caruso is better as a role player with a chip on his shoulder.

Concerns, I have them.

If Lebron is the point guard anyway, what purpose do Rondo and Avery Bradley serve? Lakers would be better off with a 3&D guy which I guess JR could be.

LeBron has to sit down for 5-7 mins each game which is when the Lakers play the worst

Rondo gambles incessantly, gets blown by regularly, halts/shrinks the offense. The only positive he brings is being a ball handler up the court.

The Lakers are better without him.

AB is a good point guard defender and solid 3pt shooter. Rondo is the only other player on the roster capable of running an offense when Bron isn't on the court. Has good chemistry with AD. Can be a pest defensively.

Neither are particularly great players at this point, but they were regular rotation players being replaced with guys that suck.

You are what you defend.

LeBron is just a tall offensive facilitator. He can't guard smallerish dudes like Avery Bradley can still do and what Rondo can still kinda do to a degree.

JR is on the team because he's Bron's homie. Like Beasley last year, he won't be in the rotation. KCP is a taller version of Bradley with a better shot. Good Rondo is a luxury (and rarity). Bad Rondo is a liability. No Rondo is no problem. Lakers were vastly improved when LeBron was on the bench last time we saw them.

Perhaps I'm being bias, but I'm fine with Green, KCP and Caruso soaking up the majority of the backcourt minutes with spot minutes to Cook/Waiters/JR before Rondo inevitably returns and steals minutes.

Alex Ginobili is cool as a high energy 8th/9th man. Not really sure what he's going to look like in a larger role against elite competition.

Lakers always had a glut of guards. KCP spent the majority of his time at the 3, moving him down to the 1 and 2 opens up more minutes for Kuz and Morris in the frontcourt. Rondo will still be back for the playoffs for yall to backtrack and talk about how trash he is
