Have you always known the Confederate flag has racist roots? No way this dude Harden didn't know what that flag meant. Saying you have a Blue Lives flag bc it looks cool or some **** is the equivalent of people with Confederate flags saying it's for historical reasons.
Have you always known the Confederate flag has racist roots?
If you did, and if that sounds like a silly question because you HAVE always known that, are you aware that there are people who legit don't know that? And I don't mean white people ignorantly 'fighting' for their 'right' to wear it or fly it. I mean, I've met black people who didn't know the origins, just know it represents racism and it's on the Dukes of Hazard car.
But have you always known it has racist roots? If not, when did you learn that?

Quick?Adam Silver was quick to eliminate an overtly racist owner. I guess you gotta find some way to criticize the commish. Attacking him for his faith is a start.
Theres idiots and ignorant people everywhere. I had a classmate just learn that black faces are racist. Granted I don’t live in America but issues like this happen here and there people are just dumb all over.
Quick?
How long was sterling an owner? How long has silver been in the league?Removing an owner in the span of a couple months is quick. Stop it.
You know that whole thing about schools not teaching history thoroughly? Not teaching that the South wanted to preserve slavery, but was just fighting for noble causes like state's rights and such, nothing to do with slavery?Middle school bro. Srs. It was always taught it was the flag of the Confederate that wanted to preserve slavery in the civil war. So they always told us it was racist. It was never wavey.
He imposed the stiffest fines and forced him to sell. How much did the team sell for? How much were the fines?Removing an owner in the span of a couple months is quick. Stop it.
Edit: also, he imposed the stiffest fines as allowed by the CBA within days. Silver dropped the hammer and forced him to sell. That's about as quick as things move in pro sports. How you can deny that is absurd.
Same. I get that.If I saw an American flag with a green stripe through it I'd be like "hmm wonder what that stands for?" if I was gonna put it on my body.
I don't disagree. To see a black and white American flag and not be intrigued by what it represents would just make Harden look more ignorant.
No..you're wrong. One of the largest aspects the south was fighting for was the preservation of the institution of slavery. You know that whole thing about schools not teaching history thoroughly? Not teaching that the South wanted to preserve slavery, but was just fighting for noble causes like state's rights and such, nothing to do with slavery?
That's a real thing that happens and is commonly fought against, as it well should be. And it is QUICKLY becoming less and less of a thing, and history is more accurately being taught... but as far as yesteryear, there are a LOT of people that were taught the Confederate flag represents the fallen South, but what the South was fighting for had nothing to do with preserving slavery.
Please reread what I saidNo..you're wrong. One of the largest aspects the south was fighting for was the preservation of the institution of slavery.
Don't do this.

I tried to keep it short to avoid being long-winded. People hate that on here. Then I keep it short, and it's misinterpreted.Maybe a misinterpretation..but it sounds like 2 distinct thoughts; you saying this is what they're taught, the flag representing them losing, but at the same time had nothing to do with them losing the war on slavery.
