All the media said they'd give DPOY to Rudy when the season ended so won't be shocked if that happens again though I don't agree

Mip's usually given to more perceptively limited players, but u can make a case for Luka almost as good as any other

I forgot about COTY. Agreed on Nurse.

Luka not getting MIP. MIP generally gets awarded to guys who make a big jump, not guys who take an expected progression.
So Luka was expected to be Top 10/possible MVP candidate in his 2nd year? That’s natural progression?

People in THIS thread was saying he was not Top 10 up until like Christmas

Maximus Meridius Maximus Meridius is not “people”

And, yes, Luka’s second year is what people expected based on his 1st year.

A super team that’s created in Orlando.... I mainly think of something involving Giannis/Luka...
Other “stars” getting together don’t really seem like a huge deal.

Enes Kanter interview on the new Simmons pod is really good. Talks about the Cs, his time in OKC, how the C position has changed, social justice, etc. Seems like a genuinely good dude. Can’t believe folks in here were saying he’d be a locker room cancer. He’s been the furthest thing

The stuff with Turkey is really sad though man. Says Ilyasova/Osman/Korkmaz won’t even speak to him. Can’t talk to his own family. Hedo, who he idolized growing up and was originally cool with him now does nothing but talk **** about him. Really sucks.
Kanter has always been a legit dude. Among all the NBA players he probably gave up the most for his role in activism .

No one is denying that Luka made a leap this year. However, at 19 he put up 21/8/6. Yes, 28/9/9 with a 10+ improvement in PER is phenomenal but the improvements that Bam and BI made, similar to the one Pascal took last year, better fit narrative for and nature of the award.

I’m not mad Luka not winning I’m just saying he has a strong case

Even Siakam has a case for winning it b2b
