If I’m being honest, Harden is one of the NBA guys for whom ignorance on this subject seems plausible. He’s a different kind of dude and doesn’t seem like a particularly deep thinking, introspective guy. Like addict4sneakers addict4sneakers said, he really might not pay attention to a whole lot other than playing ball and strippers.

Someone set him up on this though.

It's a reason CP3 left him off that conference call. Son is just oblivious.

Enes Kanter interview on the new Simmons pod is really good. Talks about the Cs, his time in OKC, how the C position has changed, social justice, etc. Seems like a genuinely good dude. Can’t believe folks in here were saying he’d be a locker room cancer. He’s been the furthest thing

The stuff with Turkey is really sad though man. Says Ilyasova/Osman/Korkmaz won’t even speak to him. Can’t talk to his own family. Hedo, who he idolized growing up and was originally cool with him now does nothing but talk **** about him. Really sucks.

I didn't see the comma at first

Thought it said "how the C position changed social justice."

Also, I had never heard Calabro's call of Dame's series winner over OKC. The homage to Dave Niehaus is incredible ("fly, fly away"). Calabro is the man.

I mean, I wasn’t really thinking Luka for MIP, but why exactly are BI or Siakam more deserving?

Because you’re just assuming Luka’s trajectory? That doesn’t seem like how it should work.

Used to love listening to Kevin Calabro call Sonics games growing up. Always enjoyed the nicknames he had for guys.

I kinda lean with addict4sneakers addict4sneakers in that MIP shouldn't be a second year player. Has a second year player ever won?

I feel like the spirit of the award is meant for a guy who makes that unforeseen jump (based on the history of who's won). Further, I feel like the guy had to have been somewhat pedestrian the year before and then jump up to near All-Star for example

And that’s Bam

my dawg Fultz taking it next year lol

In any case, after reading over the names...

Ingram/Tatum is kinda interesting, either one would be in that Kevin Love mold when Love won it

Siakam simply went from 3/2nd option to bonafide 1st option. That's not a knock on him in any way but I don't see his case for winning again

The obvious choice imo is Bam. Dude went from borderline starter to All Star

Edit: Trez got the 6th man by bad, not MIP

I can't recall there being a campaign for why Lebron James should have won MIP in 2004-2005.

Why are ****** so weird now?

lol let's be serious, 90-95% of the ridiculous things said are because people are doing in the comforts of not having to say to someone's face
