:lol As A Wizards Fan Beal's Offseason Work Has Helped.

He Had A Huge Problem Dribbling The Ball Off His Foot Early On In His Career.

Id Assume Since Hanlen Is His Trainer Some Credit Goes There But The Fruits Of His Labor Def Showing.

RE: PLaymaking wavycrocket wavycrocket

I guess it depends on what each person thinks of when they hear the WORD Playmaking.

Some automatically think of Facilitating.
Some automatically think of making plays for self.
Some automatically think of it being a combination of BOTH.

That is why scouting reports OFTEN specify is a prospect excels at "Making Plays for Self" and/or "Making Plays for Others."

So I guess depending on YOUR default view of the word will dictate which players come to mind when hearing it.

Micahel Jordan being in the same ball park as a “playmaker” as LeBron James....should not be some stupid comment, that “nobody on earth” will agree with....as JD617 JD617 likes to think.

Good article on “playmaking” mike btw

And another one

But you know....certain cats on here refuse to acknowledge context...and instantly go into snark/defend and some weird receipt pulling mode...that is always “misunderstood” :lol.

I think Bron is tops because he combines playmaking, vision, accuracy, variety of passes, strength, degree of difficulty, seeing over the defense, halfcourt-open court, etc.

You don’t think Micahel Jordan...is in that class?

Stupid, no.

But I will say the REPUTATION of LeBron's ability to make players for others dwarfs Jordan's.

But that goes back to what I said about the perception of what Playmaking is.

I guess I never thought of Jordan as an all time passer. :lol But I'm not going to discard him as an all time passer either, I guess.

Your answer just tells me that as soon as you saw the word “playmaker”....you immediately thought “passer”.

How do you define playmaking? Because if it’s by making plays for yourself and teammates to the maximum effect...the career 30/6/6 guy should most def be considered in that category.

I'll agree with that.

I think another issue is people automatically think of offense when they hear “playmaker”. There are plenty of guys who excel at making plays on defense who get overlookee when these convos come up imo. That’s why I never understood Kawhi getting flack for “not being a playmaker.“
