These people have always existed. The media just never gave them the time of day. Cable news escalated their visibility because it makes for good TV.
The people I worry about are the douchebags who are basically special forces LARPers who are fulfilling a lifelong dream of beating the crap out of someone with no consequences. Speaking about the DHS guys (and possibly gals). BTW, literally anyone can sign up for DHS. They have the lowest standards of any federal force. These are the people Trump is deploying to major cities. Idiots who don't even know how guns work. Guaranteed all of these clowns were the third best receiver on their high school football team, and now they get to prove how badass they are.

For a couple years now, my response to #AllLivesMatter has been "No, exactly, just like how on Valentines Day, we remind people to celebrate Halloween, and on Labor Day we celebrate New Year's Day... because ALL holidays are equally important. No, goof, we focus on the one when the time is needed. There has NEVER been a time when the focus has been on creating a fair platform of success for Black people, so here we are. BLACK... lives matter, and we need to keep that focus for a long while, because the current platform was forcibly built by Black people for others to stand on them."

I love being black, I love the color of my skin, the texture of my hair, my culture both american and west-indian, but goddamn is it tiring. It's so tiring having my existence constantly invalidated. Shouldn't me having to constantly prove racism is real be enough evidence of racism? Why else would I do it? What benefit does being oppressed and discriminated against confer to me? We ain't even asking for more, we just want the same, but instead we're told that not only will we continue to receive less but that it's our faults and less actually doesn't even exist. How does that make sense in their minds?
