I think She knew it would go viral.

I think She knew he would get labelled problematic.

I think She knew he would get labelled as dimishing the importance of women's sports.

I think She knew what she was doing.
Fixed.

Second, if she did know what she was doing and calculated all this, is that a problem? Is it a problem that she intentionally highlighted the disrespect in how men's sports and women's sports are talked about?

The whole situation is just goofy is all I'm saying.

Are you a woman in professional sports? There's an opinion that if someone doesn't have the relatable experience of a situation or person they are criticizing, their criticism is less relevant and valuable.

There was no disrespect. The way he referred to her...is how millions of people refer to basketball players on a daily basis.

You can do a google search for when somebody like Kendrick Nunn started balling...and a tweet will pop out saying “number _ on the Heat is nice”

That’s basketball speak. She knows that. This ain’t the situation to highlight that. A poor reach.

In all honestly, I jist saw the name ANDRE and didn't know it was Iggy. I thought it was just sime regular dude that said that. Which is why I didn't get why it had blown up.

Iggy should definitely know better. That is essentially a distant co-worker.

I feel this way but I can also see the other side of it as well.

IGGY has to know better than to do that.

A random dude on twitter doing it is different.

Its funny how dudes are salty about having to play 8 reg season games and then a play in tourny If they aren’t 4 games ahead of the 9th spot. ..if its march and you are in the 8th seed with 17 games left you aren’t guaranteed a playoff spot. Whens the last time you locked up a 8th seed with 17 games left lol. 8 is better than 17

I mean...I guess. But not really :lol. Like somebody said, there’s an entire segment within the nba itself, called “who he play for”.

Before Alex Caruso was Alex Caruso....nba players said sum like, that white boy #4 on the Lakers is nice :lol. It’s not meant as disrespect. It’s just recognizing talent that surprises you. Again, this is done at all levels of hooping.

If a good number of players are rocking that orange hoody to the point where only big sixes (3x +) are available, these same players COULD go a little googling.

we know EagleDolla built different and is just 1 player but it is a bad look when you watching the game and can’t take 10 seconds to get the name

guys doing that to other guys is cool & funny...guys doing that to other girls is seen as oppressive (you gotta view this situation with a historical context too imo)

I get IT but I am just saying Iggy has to know better than NOT saying her name. (In THIS climate)

I get the idea of him even MENTIONING her number has brought attention to her but yea, you have to know how this is going to turn out Andre.

I see what you're saying, but the Caruso comparison lacks the social context.

Can't say whether Iggy's post was malicious (doubt it), but I get why someone in a pro sport that's been trying to gain relevancy for 2 decades would be a little upset.
