I understand this pov but what is the alternative?Bunch of walking on eggshells
Exactly. Really in sports as a whole.Again, this is done at all levels of hooping.
I see what you're saying, but the Caruso comparison lacks the social context.
She said Andre wasn’t respecting her. She knows that wasn’t the intent at all.
Is this what smart sounds like
No wonder our country has been in the gutter for so long
She draggin it fr
Yeah I agree that I doubt it was meant to be malicious, he probably just tweeted it real quick.
you figured it out
I get the social content. Caruso comparison ain’t meant to encapsulate all that. It’s The same as my Kendrick Nunn comp. it’s just how basketball players refer to other basketball players with immediate positive recognition. There is no disrespect about it. She said Andre wasn’t respecting her. She knows that wasn’t the intent at all. She knows he was bigging her up, in a culture and way we all do.
Aerial Powers could’ve easily said...appreciate the shoutout, I’m Aeriel Powers if you ain’t know. But I’m not policing how people should react. She went about it her own way...and got the response she wanted. Which is open to criticism. And that should be fair. What she did...was do something to paint Iggy in a bad light, then take an out of context headline....pin a tweet and continue to paint the man in an unflattering character, to get her point across.
I gotta call that out. There are real valid criticisms to calling out coverage of women’s basketball etc.
This
Ain’t
It
The father of the guy in your AVI just died from it at age 57.
Would expect you to understand why people want the NBA to err on the side of caution.
ANd the segment is intentionally mocking how many teams a certain individual played for, so many that now it's so hard to keep count. OR, the player is so unknown, that the question must be asked 'Who he play for?' and it's hilarious... in a playfully disrespectful way.there’s an entire segment within the nba itself, called “who he play for”.
I guess you just have to ask yourself, "If this was my daughter/girl/wife/mother/aunt, how would I feel?"Exactly. Really in sports as a whole.
I’m not with making this a disrespecting women thing even tho I understand cause of the current social climate.
So yes she does have a point but she is doing way too much.
I get where she's coming from but she's seriously doing more harm than good. Andre CLEARLY was referring to her in hoops speak, and meant nothing more of it. She of all people should of got that.
The fact that IMO, she's purposely missing the point is lame.
They were doing it to Hasaan Whiteside when he broke out and no one knew who he was.
Tipping point for me was the outbreak of pure racism and captured in HD in several instances Often times leading to death of innocentno the point is people came to a conclusion before adequate information was available. the NBA erred on the side of caution, folks in here was talking about i wont even watch or enjoy the games it's greedy what the league is doing.
in case you havent heard UFC been going on since may and khabib is fighting again
I agree she has a point but someone can have a point and still convey that point poorly imoI guess you just have to ask yourself, "If this was my daughter/girl/wife/mother/aunt, how would I feel?"
And move from there.
I see her point.
