Look at his contract compared to a guy that does similar things on the court... let’s say that guy is Lou Williams who is CRIMINALLY underpaid and has been his entire career.

Freeing up all of that money and getting an athletic 3 and D guy or someone making Lou Williams money (with comparable scoring talent) would make that team a serious problem.

As long as CJ is there with that ridiculous contract that team is always going to come up short.

That's why I never bought into them. Yeah they can get hot and drop 140 and they can easily give up 140. They're style is flawed as hell and it ain't sustainable in a series. We've been here before with the Rockets.

Rather than saying CJ’s got to go like that’s a solution in itself, I’d say they need to find a more complete #2 (and probably #3) to be able to compete with contenders. And once you accept that you do start to see CJ + contract as an impediment to that solution.

Where the bucks struggle against best teams is down the stretch when downhill giannis gets a little too predictable. Cj is better creator and can take over games better than Middleton. Obviously they would lose something on defense but it could make them a tougher out. I could see it benefitting both teams.

A tryout tho. Ain’t like he’d be getting signed off bat. Plus a mediocre team like the pistons could use the publicity all things considered

Even on the celebrity/rapper tip, he’s probably one the better (if not the best). we’ve seen him look competent in open runs with actual nba players. Let’s not forget the almost dunk a couple of years ago not even stretched.
