I am firmly on that "**** dem Dubs" wave, but I gotta respect my mans wavycrocket wavycrocket facing the haters in here everyday like...

Theses narratives are wild. Steph isn’t MJ, Kobe, Magic. He’s Steph. He has flaws in his game just like every star other than MJ. He’s also a big reason why big Russ ain’t sniffing another ring. Y’all don’t like him cool I can respect that, but the twisting of actually events is corny. Some of y’all would rather score 50 and lose rather than score 30 and win, as long as you get the credit for “carrying” a team. Last time I checked GS’s core was built through the draft and free agency. They ascended after a few years and the rest is history. It’s not like Steph held the franchise hostage to get “help” year after year.

*Yawn* KD is the only reason Bron ain't got more chips. If it was left up to Steph he'd be at 5 minimum right now.

A couple of us tried to tell y'all. Steph ain't built like that. He ain't no Bron, Kobe, Mike, Magic. You can't put it on his shoulders and watch him carry the heavy load. He needs a lot around him to have good success. He ain't even with my dawg AI. Bubba Chuck ain't going out sad in the finals like he did.

i have to bring this back up because we're just going to conveniently forget what Lebron was able to accomplish last year when he had to "carry" a team. achievements from last year as the person "carrying" the lakers include: alienating the young players, getting AD to demand a trade to the lakers, and missing the playoffs.

injury excuse in 3..2...1....

meanwhile, steph's lead a team to the playoffs 7 years in a row, including 5 consecutive finals appearances. a playoff run that started in his 4th year, klay thompson in his 2nd, and rookie versions of dray, harrison and festus ezeli. yet steph can't "carry" a team and isn't "cut from the same cloth"

Shai is really out here, man. 22-9-4. If only Kawhi didn’t force our hand.

I don’t deal in ifs, and neither does nba history.

You don't deal in reality apparently either. Everybody and their mama knows Steph can't cut the mustard when it really counts in the finals. Iggy, Draymond (if they had won in 16), KD twice in a row were THOSE guys.

disclaimer: I am a Laker fan, and I'm not trying to jump into the hot mess here

all of y'all are having ultra biased/bad faith arguments on all sides, but I gotta say that no one in the history of sports has ever carried or led their teams to anything from the bench. Conversely, no one in the history of sports has ever directly tanked or imploded their team from the bench in street clothes. Injuries happen.

i imagine it has something to do with the fact that he knows OKC ain’t competing for a ring. bruh has played on contenders for the better part of the last decade and then got shipped out to a dead end

I understand they’re not title contenders but you’d think the lone former All Star would step up and look energized being away from Harden to be the unquestioned leader of a team that still has decent talent on it and could still make it to the playoffs. He should be showcasing that he still has it.

The NBA gotta do something about these dumb *** fouls. Every good guard in the league does this **** nowadays cause they call it for them 95% of the time.

4 so far but he was ballin during the postseason too, production hasn't fallen off at without Kawhi. His ceiling keeps rising, the fact he only started playing ball less than 10 years ago is crazy
