It isn’t ONLY because Steph is “light skin”....but it’s a part of why he constantly gets discredited. Guy that looks like him, that comes from his background, that plays the way he does, that stops the guy they want to win from winning more....and changes the dynamic of basketball....This was in 2015 mind you.
It’s a unique set of circumstances to Steph. Dudes hate to have this convo....but conditioning is real. It works in a multitude of ways.
Sometimes folk just be thinking too hard and digging too deep.
