I hear you
Yea I didn't mean you guys, the fans, had crazy high expectations. Just the general sentiment in the footy world seemed to be that Pep would run rampant and "revolutionize" the league and that narrative was in full swing after the first month of the season laugh.gif
It was NEVER gonna be that easy. I definitely know things can't change totally after 2 transfer windows laugh.gif
Think this result is gonna be good for Pep and Citeh long term, it exposed their flaws out in the open and humbled them. They'll only get better after imo
Yeah I agree with you, I think a lot of fans had high expectations but I definitely wouldnt say I/the majority of us were expecting a CL title. Making the semis last year makes this look a lot worse than it already is as well.
I personally was expecting a bit more in the Prem, although Chelseas run has been incredible we've missed out on a good amount of points to really keep the pressure on them.
And while I felt the Monaco draw was favorable, I knew what they were doing and how excellent they were putting the ball in the back of the net. Of course as a fan I'm going to be optimistic, but looking back on it I shouldve seen this coming with how **** our back line is and how great their attacking was. It especially hurts because we were ~12 minutes away from advancing and then gave up that goal, a great ball played in and finish, but damn that **** hurt. never been a fan of playing that high of a line in that position.
this is make or break time for city... tough loss to monaco and now have the hardest stretch of their season.
doesn't look good tbh
Agreed with that first part for sure
kdb still young though... should be going at aguero and silvas neck more than anyone
Im cool with going at Kun for the trash performance today, but definitely not Silva
