Bastian is a classy guy. I'm sure deep down he'd love to forget his time with Man U

Basti the legend :(

Shame it never worked out at OT,he came a little too late in his career. He was already on the downcurve while he was still already Bayern which made it harder to find a role for him on the squad.

He's one of the classiest players to ever rock the shirt though, took a ****** situation and handled it with all the grace and and elegance in the world. Nice to see him shout out the fans in his goodbye address, even though he rarely played, he was a fan favorite. For as bad as his time went,he'll always get the distinction of being the first German player at the club :lol

Arguably my fav German player ever, gonna miss seeing the deutscher fussballmeister play in Europe.

It seems like Mou is trying to clear out all of LVG's signings, gotten rid of 3 of his transfers in the span of 2 months :lol. Just gonna need him to stay away from Tony...

On a random note,Cadena Cope is reporting that apparently Laca has a verbal agreement with Atleti to join on the summer if their ban gets lifted.

Supposedly Griez pushed hard for it as incentive to stay put,if it does come to fruition, that's gonna be one of the dirtiest attacks in Europe :x

I wonder who the target demographic(s) is/are with all these "easy and friendly" logos and fonts.

The font seems to be in line with the new logo. Maybe just more appeal to casuals in general?

Ehh.

New font and logo are OK.

Still an overall downgrade from the previous logo and font

The whole world, and particularly people where English is not their first language.

Chicago is a bad team and Schweinsteiger going there makes zero sense from an on field perspective. This is the exact type of move every decently run MLS club has been trending away from in the last 4 - 5 years.

I don't care where he goes....that's 200k per week that can be spent on a more youthful player.

Would have been nice had it worked out, unfortunately it didn't.

Basti should have came to DC United. We are missing a player like him in our squad this season. He could've had an immediate impact

Be thankful for the ineptitude of the Chicago Fire front office.

Should be a top team in the league with a thriving academy.
He's washed

@archiert1 Looked at Germany + England U21 squads ahead of this week. Says a lot about strength in depth when it comes to talent in both countries. Or more to the point, let’s just say: one country gives young players a chance in their own top flight and one doesn’t. [Big shock I know]. Some numbers coming up... [because I found the extent of the disparity surprising…and everyone likes numbers…I think]. Between them, England U21 squad have 206 Premier League appearances overall. Germany U21 squad has 1,137 (!) Bundesliga appearances overall. One thousand one hundred and thirty seven. There's a lot of hyperbole these days...but that is quite frankly ridiculous...Jack Grealish most Premier League appearances in England U21s: 34 (and not played PL this season) Matthias Ginter, German equivalent: 129. If Jack Grealish was in the German squad [changed nationality once, why not again!] and had 34 Buli apps, would only be the 16th highest. 11 of England’s 23-man U21 squad have played Premier League this season 18 of Germany’s 24-man U21 squad have played Bundesliga this season. The breakdown of Germany U21 v England U21 with appearances in their own top flight (+ second tier this season).

@_Jame*****nzo - @archiert1 Ward-Prowse, only just drafted into senior squad, on 128 PL apps. More a culture of getting young players a senior cap sooner?
in response to that: @archiert1 - Timo Werner just drafted into the Germany squad for the first time. 119 Bundesliga apps. Usually plays for U21s. Timo Werner (21) an example of German patience with talent. 95 apps for a bad Stuttgart side. 13 goals. At Leipzig this season. 14 goals.
Mahmoud Dahoud's injury takes Germany's Under 21s down to a mere 1,085 Bundesliga appearances between them.

Arsenal linked to jack butland as a long term replacement for Cech. Wouldn't mind that 8o 8o

Ospina is borderline trash. Inconsistent af. don't want him as the first choice

Surprised schwein went to Chicago. ****** winters and all that [emoji]129300[/emoji].. Random but I've always thought, pirlo has $$, he must be living nice in NY
