That Zlatan league debut stat is insane.

With all Ibra's greatness, it's easy to overlook the simple of luxury of having a player as technical and intelligent as he is be the target and focal point in attack.  You throw a player like Pogba in the mix and the spine of that team is looking strong the long way. They're going to be fun to watch this year.

Really hoping Emerson Hyndman can break through and contribute to this Bournemouth team too. Obviously overmatched today but his style and skill set fits the team like a glove.

Elneny and Coq are more defensive and more familiar with the schemes

Need that with all our CB injuries

Xhaka will probably come on as a sub when coq gets his eventual card

Or if Arsene gets an early lead and decides to park the bus he"ll sub him on for Ramsey

Yeah but we all know Pool will play a pressing game, and Coq is not the most adept at handling pressure. Elneny has to exhibit good passing range to unlock the defense, I'm not expecting Coq to do much on that end.

So what's the general consensus on the first performance? It's business as usual for Jose, I reckon. Bournemouth has to get enforcements on defense, that'll be what does them in this year. I'd be lying if I said that I didn't expect this result, but Utd did somewhat underperform. Next week will be a better test, as I'm still not convinced by the midfield/defense

It was business as usual for Mou :lol, typical performance on the conservative/cautious side but none of the negative play from LVG's time with side and back passes leading to nothing. They looked threatening when they pressed and countered plus the possession is being used to open up the attack, not just for the sake of having possession :lol

I'm pleasantly surprised by the final score since I didn't expect too much of an offensive output from this lineup, can't wait to see Mikhi and Pogba inserted into the XI.

2010 Valencia looks to be back :hat

Ibra has now scored in 7 straight league games :smokin

Blind is showing that he can be lowkey depended on when Smalling/Bailly are hurt

Can't draw too many conclusion since it's still just the first match but things are looking promising.

Wazza plays like an old 30 while Zlatan is a young 34...the contrast is crazy :eek

Buzzing with the result, with Zlatan we won't be dropping points against the minnows of the league.

Morning fellas.

Never really venture much around here, but I'm excited for this Gunners season. Hope to learn even more about football this season.

If United plays that 2nd half game consistently I see no problems with them making the Champions League in a years time

Only issue is missed opportunities/blundered mistakes on the attackig end. Most notably Rooney's fumbles when in front of goal when given a through ball

They're going to have to find a way to work him into the attack and create chances that he's able to finish on. But it's really going to be reflecting on his ability to finish when given the opportunity.

Their first half looked like the start of them sweeping the dust off but they were lucky it was Bournemouth and not Arsenal who can create early in a game

Pogba, Mkhi, Martial, Mata and Zlatan will still prove tough for any opponent in the Prem, but Memphis, Rooney, Ander, and Fro need to do better

Defense looks solid. Mou will have that defense well oiled by mid season
