I know in Atlantic City the "side bets" LaSevenTrees is talking about are the "Lucky Ladies" at Harrahs properties.
You get paid if you pair a 20 i believe 4-1, there are others like same suit 20 gets you more and if you hit 2 queen of hearts against a dealers 21 you hit the big bonus.
But unless you have a true count of +7 you are taking a real shot in the dark for the Lucky Ladies.

there is a better blackjack movie out there called The Last Casino, similar to 21, but came out years before it. I liked it a little more, both are solid.Originally Posted by onetruehomie

Went to AC for the first time yesterday. Came out +190 on the Blackjack table. Felt good.

One time I took 400 to the casino... blew 200 on Blackjack in about 20 mins, then in about an hour lost 180 in Hold Em. Took my last twenty back to the blackjack tables... won it all back. By far the best i've ever felt after leaving the casino. And I won 700 before too....

$50 is no reason to stop you will never make money that way only advice i can say is play on low min tables but when the table gets hot make big bets last time i went to vegas i played with some regulars for 6+ hours same table came up a G on a $5 table when the table is hot good players will know when its cold you will see bets back at the min.
With that said your gambling there is no way to win all the time or the casinos wouldnt have the game have fun with it bet only what you can lose and not case about on the ride home...
