Top 5 Pet Peeves. Jordan Brand Edition

some that haven't been mentioned but equally important..
5. lack of lighthearted commercials (Bugs Bunny, with CB34, etc...)
4. needing details to "make" the shoe. (blacklight writing, titanium coating, 16 dots to form the word JORDAN)
3. not caring if I drink too much to make it to the morning release.
2. emphasizing designers. this didn't use to happen. A shoe could stand on its own merits without having to tout the "return of the father of the airJordan" or whatever.
1. too much emphasis on heritage. I get it. there have been loads of other Jordans, can we not reference them ad nauseum?

1. poor material

2. limited availability

3. overpriced

4. fakes

5. the beloved hypebeasts
laugh.gif

1. using clear material on soles then having the soles amber over time
2. special hard to obtain releases
3. quality
4. overabundance of fakes
5. stains that never come off the shoe no matter how hard you try (soda, dirt, creases)

1. Fusions
devil.gif
2.One good pair and one trash pair in each cdp, dont tellme the 7/16 or 6/17 are good packs either, we will see about the 11/12. 3.Hypebeasts 4. Bow wow/ nelly representing JB

smh.gif

which rings me to my list
5. Lines!!! I hate lining up in the morning but Im a sucker and I were a size 13 so every release is limited
4. Creases
3. Horrible Colorways
2. Gentry
1. FUSIONS!!!! Stop it

Honorable mention fakes and hypebeast

1 Cracking paint on midsoles.
2 Papery leather.
3 Countdown Packages.
4 Jordan's "Everytime we make a shoe, it's the best we can do" comment on Inside Nike.
If that's true, why were you looking away from the camera when you said it?
5 Poorly thought out Retro "plus" colorways.

1. FAKES
2. People Asking Where i Bought Them
3. People Sayin They Can Get it Cheaper Than Me From His Boy
4. Hypebeasts
5. Quality of Produced Sneakers

1.Fakes (those who wear & sell them)
2.Limited Releases (especially on ugly shoes like LS 6 Rings)
3.Hypebeasts
4.Resellers
5.That one dude in my neighborhood who wears fusions thinking he on top of the world.
Notable Mentions:
1.Fakes (again)
2.Bad colorways (and quality) on the CDP's
3.That same dude from my neighborhood who thinks my shoes is fake cause he ain't got'em.

I. FAAAAAAAKES! (especially on eBay)
II. People scuffing or stepping on my J's (especially my girl when she does it on purpose just to piss me off...not cool)
III. Extremely limited releases (Titaniums, Thunder & Lightnings)
IV. Not being able to wear my J's all day every day cuz my job wont allow it.
V. All the 2008 %+$ including ugly Fusions, poor quality, choice of CW, no retro cards, etc.

I actually have a top 20 but I will stick with what the post asked for.

(1) Gentry
(2) Poor leather quality
(3) No Nike Air
(4) Fusion/Frankensteins (Spike; Dub Zero; Six Rings; AJF)
(5) Gentry

5. Clear Soles Yellowing

4. Ridiculous overpricing of Current Peformance Based Models: Noone buys them to play in, thus no mythology is created by today's pairs

3. Non-creativity in terms of color palettes

2. Saturation of market, due to variants, chain stores etc.

1. Availability of information; Growing up, I sat glued to the ASG, the playoffs, and Sports Illustrated to catch a PEEK of what the Jordans looked like.

The Jordan commercials would also only show a brief shot of the shoes, relying on that mystery and anticipation to fuel wonder thus sales.

I am Internet fan #1, but it has killed that "anticipation" of finally seeing and maybe owning the ultimate sneaker...the Air Jordan!

In NO Paticular Order...

Employees @ Retail stores mainly FootLocker - FinishLine - FootAction and Champs that lie about Release dates , Stock on hand and Prices

The Resellers online that sell FAKES but Lie and say they're 100% Authentic

The Resellers online who lie about the actual condition of a shoe

The Retail stores sell fakes along with their authentic Kix

Anyone spreading disinformation on Niketalk

ALL CREATE DISSATISFACTION!!!
