Lebron dunk wasnt that impressive.

We've seen dude have go headband to the rim... he barely gets to the net.

Now Andre's putback :x :x

u couldn't tell by his play? dude is done..not even role player status
ouch..such disrespect...waaay off base...its nothing for kobe to get the rock, post up, go to his wide array of moves, and get two points...

if you cant tell kobe is taking an obvious backseat for the young cats, then you dont watch alot of bball..u def dont watch alot of kobe..

the phrase, 'been there done that' comes to mind...

kobe not even a role player..lol..coulda led the league in scoring last year..psshht.

is the west coast getting time delay on these games or are the showing um live everywhere?
They're aired live on NBC Sports Channel (not sure about gold medal game). If you have directTV they have an Olympic BBall channel that airs games live as well (752).

Let's say the U-23 rule was in effect for this current Olympics...what do you think the roster would look like? (assuming Rose and Griffin aren't hurt)

G - Derrick Rose
G - Russel Westbrook
F - Kevin Durant
F - Kevin Love
C - DeMarcus Cousins
G - Kyrie Irving
G - James Harden
F - MKG
F - Blake Griffin
C - Anthony Davis
F - Greg Monroe
G - Klay Thompson

I think that team still wins gold.

The problem with U-23 for basketball is that it makes the rest of the world non-competitive. Think about why international basketball became competitive: continuity. Argentina’s core has been together for 15+ years. Spain’s core has been together for almost a decade. Complete roster overhauls every four years destroy that veteran presence and continuity which makes them competitive.

Meanwhile, Team USA will just grab 12 new NBA players every four years, start them off in a training program the year before, and dominate. If you think the world can’t compete ( at least physically) with Team USA now, just wait until Spain is patching together a squad without the Gasols, Ibaka, Rubio, Navarro, Calderon, etc. And then have to do it all over again four years later.

Overall, it cheapens the Olympic tournament. It’s ultimately good for the United States, because it’s the only country that can keep up with such turnover. But if Argentina is relying so heavily on guys who are 32+ years old (and Spain is getting a lot older now as well), then what does that say about who’s waiting in the wings in those countries?

but i think it would only be the USA going with the U-23 team.
