Volume III: Life And Times of S.Carter Appreciation

Well.....The only two songs that I don't like are Pop 4 Roc and S. Carter (WTF Were you thinking Jay???)

So, this album is definitely appreciated.....

dudes like Dynasty more than this? Vol. 3 was that joint just off the strength of So Ghetto, Come and Get Me, and the bonus tracks after the Outro (Jigga My Nand Girl's Best Friend)

Jay came mad grimey at the beginning of Come and Get Me

"38 waist enough to fit one nine in
Really a 36 without the gun I'm thin
But when the gat is tucked I'm fat as ffff"

"Yeah I know that platinum chain be lookin real sweet
But reach and I bury Ns fifty feet deep"

Volume I = Hov's second best album. Yes it is better than the Blueprint, I said it. My order

Reasonable Doubt
Vol I
The Blueprint
Black Album
Dynasty
American Gangster
Vol II
Gift and The Curse
Vol III
Kingdom Come

I like V3 too...I thought it was better than V2

Come and Get Me is my 2nd favorite Jay song ever

Easily... I never understood the hate for this lp and I never will... Say what you will but "Things That You Do" is my %%!$

"I can't entertain it sometimes I can't explain it
God given, gifts of a soul for hard living
Far be it from me to question Allah's wisdom
Could've been lost in the system
Instead I'm involved with the rhythm
I dodged prison, came out unscathed from car collisions
I know I must be part of some mission
%%!$ I used take it for granted
Why they placed me on this planet
I would ask myself while writin raps to myself
But right there under my nose
Was the flow of all flows
Not a demon but a rose in the cement, come on"

I could give two#**%#$ what y'all say I'm in the same mindstate as K minus "The Things You Do"

Overall I thought this was a good album. There's plenty of joints I reallylike on there, most of which you bolded.

Come and get me is also one of my favorite Jay tracks, but I don't hold him nowhere near the same regard as the rest of you.

word....he tried to go pop and fell flat on his face.

Let's not talk about somebody going pop and falling flat on their face. This coming from a guy that thinks Fat Joe of all people is a legend?? Anyway,Vol. III is better than what most people give Jay credit for. Alot of bangers on here. Come and Get Me is the anthem right there. Also for the record Vol.III>Vol. II.

I remove your roof *****, let the sun shine in
38 waist, enough to put 1 nine in
Really a 36 wiithout the gun, I'm thin
But when the gat is tucked, I'm fat as ****

Ignorant bastard, I'm taking it back to day one
No kids but trust me I know how to raise a gun
For ****** that think I spend my days in the sun
Well here's the shock of your life
The glock, not the mic.

yep.

only thing i disagree with is that Vol 3 > Vol 2.

One personal experience with this album:

I'm notorious for listening to a few seconds of each track and if it doesn't grab me from the jump... SKIP to the next...

For months I listened to this album and skipped over "Come and Get Me" hundreds of times... B/c the first part of the song is weak... Then, I wasdriving and talking on the phone at the same time and the song came on. Being unable to "skip to the next", I let it ride... Once the bridge kickedin to the new beat I almost dropped the phone... It was like hearing a hidden track.... I couldn't believe I hadn't heard that portion of the songbefore...

Easily one of the dopest songs on the album...

Dopeman was my favorite track
