so you came to NT because of what reason?

you must be new to sneakers. there was actually a time when Nikes went on on clearance you know.
im pretty sure sneaker heads that come to NT dont wait for clearance rack to buy all their kicks except for dress shoes... thats why i asked what J's have you bought because im pretty sure you paid for those kicks (retail) and they are not premium feeling at all for the price...

LOL mane if Apple is paying I`d just cop a personal prepaid account on the side just for playing with gadgets. I won't lie I`m still young but I might look for a Business Analyst gig at a Apple or Google even though I hear Google for example only hires Stanford kids, but idc I`m just gonna apply for the heck of it.

LL, good luck man, it's not impossible to get into Google or Apple, you just have to set yourself on the right path. It may mean sacrificing a little fun in order to be the best student possible. It's ok you'll have more fun when you're rich later :lol

I bought a Galaxy S3 off a kid on Craigslist. I checked the IMEI before I bought it and everything checked out positive... Should I be worried any longer?

lol I`m done with undergrad bro I`m studying for GMAT right now, I know I prob couldnt get a gig there because I didnt go to an Elite school, the Grad program I`m applying for is a Dual MBA/ Masters in Info Systems, my job pays 50% and its a solid program, its not a top 10 but the Return on Investment is there, and I`m already working in my field, so I`m really just doing it to move into management in my current company or another in the Atlanta area. I`m just gonna apply to Apple and Google in a few years on some Troll type steeze lol just to say I did it.

i heard they can still call it in as stolen or lost later and the phone can get shut down... i think if they buy the phone with a discount and dont show up that it is being used under thier plan or something they will get charged full price and if they dont pay i think it will get shut down... im not sure though...

dudes must be clutz if their arguement is to hating non plastic devices is because it will break. LOL. If I`m paying over 100 for something It needs to feel premium. I notice every year every review states the Galaxy doesnt feel like a premium device. the One could be God like once a root comes out where you can install a vanilla rom.

I never really understood the whole materials argument. Majority of people put their phone in a case made of plastic so who cares what the phone is made out of. If you're gonna put your brand new aluminum or glass phone into a plastic or silicon case of some kind that whole argument is completely moot. I've owned the iphone 4 and yeah sure the aluminum and glass was nice but i didn't give a damn that my next phone was plastic. I know to each their own but i just find it hilarious that dudes that always ***** about materials and prefer an aluminum or glass phone over plastic end up putting the phone in a case thus covering the whole phone so all you "feel" is plastic in the end.

I worked in wireless for years you'd be surprised how many people don't use case, me being one of them.

For all of you dudes complaining about battery life and Touchwiz/Sense, why don't you just root the damn thing and flash Cyanogen Mod onto it. The battery life will go from like 8 hours to 30 hours, and the phone will be a beast. I've owned 4 Android devices and have rocked with CM for every one.

It's been said again and again, the issue isn't the Android OS or "the battery", its the bloatware that is being loaded on top of it that's causing the lag and the drainage of the battery.

How many different companies have made the nexus phone? And why does it always change?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nexus_phone

It changes because Google looks for the best OEM who innovating with certain types of technology. In the Nexus 4 case from LG, it has wireless charging outside the box, while the HTC One, and s4 it doen't while you need accessories to get wireless charging. Read the wiki it explains more.

Yeah after deep thought the whole "build quality" argument is kind of dumb. I mean especially when the function of the device is communications. Who gives a f*** about build quality when you are at an airport and all the power outlets are hogged up by the moochers and you still have a 5 hour flight to LA but you'd like to surf the web or play a dumb game even before your flight? With a non removable battery phone you have to pick and choose when to use your device. With a replaceable battery phone it's not a problem when you have have a spare or two. Plus these days spare batteries only cost $25.

Talk about design....look how the Galaxy S4 has a bigger 2600mah battery, yet is still thinner than the SGS3 it replaced.

With that being said I think the word design in the case of smartphones needs to be broken down into 3 distinct areas

1. Aesthetics: The overall visual impact the phone has
2. "Build Quality: The materials the phone is made of.
3. Functionality: Design aspects that involve the actual functioning and capability of the phone.

The HTC One CLEARLY wins in the first category.

The second category is up for interpretation. One can say the use of a monolithic block of aluminum trumps high impact Polycarbonate plastic, but that is mainly because metal is considered to be "premium" while plastics are considered to be "cheap". Again that is all based on the philosophy of use in other words what advantage does one material have over the other when strictly defined by its usage. Is aluminum really superior for a portable device when for one metals transmit heat heat better than plastic (thermal conductivity). Are metals more damage resistant than high impact plastics? Is it smarter to have replaceable panels so that if damage does occur you can buy a new panel (ie buying a new battery cover...impossible for the HTC one with its unibody design).

Design from a functionality aspect Samsung is the clear winner. Functionality meaning it was designed with a removable user replaceable battery, it was also designed with upgradeable storage along with the option of having pre-installed storage. Yes there is the Cloud, but accessing the cloud outside of a wifi hotspot require usage of a connection of some sort. With Samsung you have the option of preinstalled storage of up to 64GB, replaceable storage of up to 64GB AND you can still use the cloud. Options, options, options.

HTC One, you are one bad b****, you look good baby, but overall you come up short to the Samsung Galaxy 4. Trust and believe the consumers will vote with their wallets.

WARNING: If you are allergic to rumors, speculation, or leaked phones, then do not click on this story. We just received a hot tip and we are not able to verify the source, so help us decide if it’s fake or real.

lg-nexus-5-prototype-630x472.jpeg

Is the above image the LG Nexus 5? An anonymous source, who claims to work for Google, tells us this prototype is the real deal, but we are not sure what to make of it. There is a good chance that some basement dweller is trolling us hard, but this person has an interesting story so we thought it needed to be shared.

The source claims that Google plans to release a Nexus 5 later this year (October 2013), and they are currently evaluating several prototypes from different manufactures. One of these prototypes is made by LG and it’s currently using the codename “Megalodon.”

Rumored specs for the LG “Megalodon” include:
 • 5.2″ OLED Display with 1920×1080 resolution
 • Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 @ 2.3 GHz
 • 3GB LPDDR3 Ram
 • 16/32/64GB of internal storage
 • 16MP rear camera by OmniVision (4k video recording @30FPS, 1080p video recording @60FPS, Real Time HDR & HDR video recording, optical image stabilization, BSI 2.0)
 • 2.1MP front camera (1080p video recording @30FPS)
 • 3300 mAh Lithium Polymer battery
 • Front positioned stereo speakers
 • Qualcomm RF360 (LTE 150 Mbps & HSPA+)
 • Integrated DVB-T / ATSC-antenna
 • Gesture like controls (navigation, zoom, etc)
Looking over the list of specs reveals a nerd’s wishlist on steroids. Most of these parts are not even shipping in devices yet, but several are slated to be available by the second half of 2013. Qualcomm for example has said we should expect to see their Snapdragon 800 and RF360 solution in devices before the end of the year.

Several things about this leak are screaming fake to me, but I haven’t been able to rule out if this is another elaborate hoax or something that should be on our radar. We just saw Google team up with LG to produce the Nexus 4, and even though the launch had some hiccups, we could see Google picking LG again to deliver the next flagship Nexus device.

What are your thoughts on the prototype design and the proposed list of specs?
NO CHANCE IN HELL this is real

QFT.

It's sad that there hasn't been an Android phone that has had all 3.

Imagine Vanilla Android on the HTC ONE with some of the S-Features and a solid camera...

Game changer right there

T-Mobile rocks in Chicago and the burbs... When I went on an East Coast road trip last October, the only time was when I was in BuFu. Otherwise I was streaming Netflix and HBO GO like none other.
