My Note 3 still going strong :hat

I may just pay off the remaining balance of the phone next month and cop something off craigslist. I still have my AT&T G2 so I'll unlock that too. So I'm guessing no more Note?

Please someone name an Android phone that has remained so relevant and still powerful as long as the Note 3. Mess around it's still as powerful as the new flagships and one of the few with 3GB of RAM. Heck the Note 2 still aint no punk.

If someone says the HTC EVO, I will lobby to have you IP banned :lol :lol :rollin :{

Yup my N2 was beastly but lack of 1080p screen really hurts it in comparrison to these new devices.

True JSJ, when I had my Note 2 I felt a little inferior because I knew 1080p was out, but I never felt inferior while looking at the screen.

However I feel 1080p is the sweetspot for phones 6 inches or less (that's not what she said). When we start going over to 6' to tablets QHD makes a lot more sense IMO. Though I have to admit the G3 Demo movies are magnanimous.

Yes this is an Android thread, but more than a few guys in here are keeping their eyes open for the iPhone 6. Here's a supposed mockup.

The long-awaited Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime, also referred as Galaxy F and Galaxy Alpha (in Korea), will reportedly be unveiled on Aug 13. However, the Galaxy F release date is set to fall in the month of September to fight it out with Apple iPhone's scheduled release, according to Korean media (via Phone Arena).

Samsung flags are set up at the main entrance to the Berlin fair ground before the IFA consumer electronics fair in Berlin in this August 28, 2012 file photo. Samsung Electronics Co Ltd is emerging as a major player in its local debt market, buying more South Korean-issued bonds as it juggles a $60 billion cash pile. Samsung's push into private bank debt and government bonds underscores the challenges faced by the electronics giant in managing its massive cash holdings, with local banks reluctant to overload on short-term deposits from Samsung.

It is worth mentioning that Samsung has been releasing device-after-device this year with Samsung Galaxy S5, Galaxy K Zoom, Galaxy Tab S and Galaxy S5 Mini leading the way. The Samsung Galaxy F, on the other hand, is reportedly the first luxury focused smartphone for the company. The phone is expected to boast killer specifications and high-end features.

Apparently, Samsung has taken a cue from the HTC One M8's design. The Galaxy F will sport a metallic rear casing, instead of the plastic back that is part of the Galaxy lines of devices released thus far. Going by the leaked images, although the metallic look does elevate the smartphone and gives the premium look, the overall look of the Galaxy F is very much similar to the 2014 flagship Galaxy S5.

The Galaxy F will feature a 5.1-inches Super AMOLED display with Quad HD (2K) screen resolution and 576 ppi pixel density. The handset will be powered by a superior Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, clocked at 2.7 GHz and a whopping 3 GB of RAM.

The Galaxy S5 Prime will house a 16 MP rear-facing camera and a 2 MP front-facing camera unit. The primary camera will come with optical image stabilization (OIS) feature, according to leaked specifications from AnTuTu.

Other rumoured specifications include 16 GB or 32 GB of internal storage capacity with microSD slot for further expansion up to 128 GB. Reportedly, the Galaxy S5 Prime will also house fingerprint scanner, heart rate monitor and dust/water proof exteriors.

In addition to the above features, the Galaxy F could also come with iris recognition technology i.e. a built-in retina scanner on the device. It is worth noting that, Samsung's upcoming phablet, the Galaxy Note 4 is also rumoured to feature a retina scanner on its release in September, says Tech Times.

Yea the Galaxy F has my attention as well..

When I come back home tomorrow I'm going to check out the G3, see what its about

Yes bro, it's Samsung's attempt to steal a few sales away from the iPhone 6. Not sure if that's going to work or not but it's interesting to see these companies positioning themselves.

Interesting....very interesting. Might hurt G3 and m8 sales more than anything tho..

IMO I think it's corny, why not just drop the s5 with those specs? I'm seeing tons of reports f the i5s still outselling the s5 and s5 missing sales goals and stuff. The note 4 IMO only samsung device that matters this year. Samsung as a whole is corny to me literally everything they do is to counter someone else and not even on some "we made it better" type steeze

Samsung is so corny that they still pretty much own the market. And to be honest all companies steal...heck Apple stole the notification drawer concept from Android. Not just in the phone world either...BMW releases the iDrive concept then Merc and Audi comes out with their version of it.

The S5 is missing their sales goals but they were incredibly high in the first place...It's like saying you had a goal of making $150k coming out of school...but that you "only" got offered $125k. Samsung is also one of the richest companies in the entire world.

You don't become as big, rich and successful as Samsung (and Apple as well) by being stupid and corny :lol The numbers don't lie.

Everybody has their favorite OEM, but really it's a two horse race...people en masse are checking on Apple and Samsung.

Not hard to own the market when ever two months you're dropping the same phone in a diff shell at diff price points though. LG And HTC made better devices two years straight but Samsung has the beast marketing machine. And you're missing the point when I say steal, apple and others take existing stuff and make it work, Samsung does it on some Mr me too steeze. Literally everyone in here was bashing gold iPhones saying it's not a big deal and now cats begging for the gold color way of android devices lol.

i be having my g3 going all day and into the next day using it to browse internet and use other apps and battery life is great no issues here either

Had the captivate, s2, and s3 I have no complaints about Sammy.

Every company copies each other really. Are we gonna say the 5.5 iPhone copied the galaxy note since they were the first to do that big and be successful. Lucky got a problem with Samsung dropping new phones always but praises every iPhone release yearly.

No one should be complaining. We the consumers are winning because all these brands are doing a good job competing against each other
