I'm liking what I'm seeing from the hardware perspective from these new phones, last years models apart from a select few were very bland.

There needs to be a way for phones to auto adjust from vertical to horizontal when someone is shooting a video. I'm tired of seeing so many videos in portrait mode.

The update improved my reception on my TMobile but still nothing most of the time here in the basement, even texts have to send more than 1nce. Sucks, but I'll deal since I already bought these unlocked phones. I don't text much anyways so even if I got up and went outside every time I needed to, wouldn't be a bad thing to get me up out of my seat

Went to the TMo store I used to work at to upgrade my girl's S6 to an S7 and realized the sale was over but my old managers took care of me. Discounted it back down to $360 for me, threw in accessories and gave me bill credits :hat . Good thing I still have friends to take care of me

I def have to check out that S8+ when it drops. Going from a Nexus 6 to 6P was a size downgrade for me. I can mess with anything smaller than 5.7 anymore hence why I wanted no parts of that Pixel XL.

T-Mobile peeps, on March 1st if you have 2 lines on simple choice or a one plan they're offering a free line again

I took advantage back when they had the 2 free lines back in November. I offered 2 lines to a couple of friends for 25$ a month, they were paying over 50$ previously so we all benefited

Went into t-mobile. Grabbed a gear s3. This thing is OK but the Samsung pay is clutch. Like any credit card reader. Doesn't matter. Just hold it to the magnetic sensor.

On a side note. The girl tried to get me to switch to t-mobile one. Then realized that I would be paying more. She didn't realize that I had the old completely unlimited unrestricted data plan. She was all convincing until she told me that I would be paying 10 dollars more...... With the watch as opposed to 5 with my old plan. Lol

Samsung Pay is why I love my S6 edge +. Makes shopping so easy and I've only had a few places not accept it.

The rewards program they introduced is lit as well. Rack up points in no time with all the special days you get 2x and 4x points.

I just got back on Samsung pay w/my work phone. If you haven't used it yet, use my referral, I'm pretty sure you'll get broke off too :hat D4F110

T-Mobile coming out with 3 unlimited lines for $100/month next month for I don't know how long..

The new Samsung Tab S3 tablet is :smokin

Samsung to Expand its RCS (Rich Communication Services) Messaging Service
Spain on February 28, 2017

Samsung Electronics today announced its plan to expand its Rich Communication Services (RCS) messaging service using the recently-acquired NewNet Communication Technologies RCS solution. Samsung’s RCS service is a complete end-to-end solution that includes RCS-enabled devices, native/downloadable device clients, cloud-based RCS application servers, an interconnectivity hub among operators and a third-party monetization platform.

Users will enjoy rich messaging features such as group chats, video calls and large file transfers, while continuing to use their phone numbers without the need for an additional app.

Samsung’s RCS cloud will allow mobile network operators to quickly launch the service and avoid the costly and time-consuming efforts of building their own network infrastructure. Additionally, Samsung’s RCS hub will support and simplify the interconnectivity among other RCS-enabled operators, Samsung and third-party RCS clouds, allowing for the same service ubiquity for users as SMS and MMS.

Samsung’s RCS solution is compliant with the latest GSMA RCS specifications. As a standards-based solution, it will be a true messaging evolution post SMS/MMS, making it possible to achieve a global footprint very quickly.

“We are very excited to be expanding Samsung’s RCS messaging service,” said Yunsang Park, SVP of the Product Service Innovation Strategy Group, Mobile Communications Business at Samsung Electronics. “With this new offering, mobile customers will have a rich messaging experience built directly into their phones. Our new RCS solution, along with our supporting mobile network operator partners, will make it easier for hundreds of millions of users across the globe to access RCS messaging. We are grateful for our partners’ support and look forward to expanding our network in the future.”

Samsung is cooperating with several network provider partners to advance the availability of RCS messaging, including Deutsche Telekom, KT, SK Telecom, T-Mobile and Vodafone. To suit each partner’s specific needs, the solution is offered not only as a full packaged partnership but also in a variety of modular options. More partners are expected to join in the near future.

“The GSMA aligned the mobile industry behind a single, Universal Profile for advanced RCS messaging and we have already seen a number of significant operator launches,” said Alex Sinclair, Chief Technology Officer, GSMA. “This approach gives consumers a richer and more consistent messaging experience regardless of device or network. We look forward to seeing the profile become the de facto industry standard in the near future.”

The RCS solution will be supported by Samsung smartphones running Android Marshmallow or later.

The RCS demo will also be showcased at the Samsung booth (Hall 3) at Mobile World Congress from February 27 to March 2, 2017.

This sounds like a big deal if Samsung is on board. Google has been pushing it for a while and the carriers seem to be adopting it in some form or fashion.

I'm sure Apple isn't too pleased and won't be adopting it, at least any time soon

Many people don't realize that the tech for Android/Apple Pay is different from Samsung Pay. Samsung Pay is pretty much like swiping your credit/debit card.

Can't remember who mentioned it but looks like after Verizon updated their plans the corporate discounts faded away. Haven't called em yet but Not excited about paying Sprint prices all over again after saving about $100 a month switching. If they can't drop my bill back then I'll be looking to take my talents to TMo

My S7E just updated to nougat. Is there any way to make the notifications transparent or translucent? The bright white notifications are killing me.
