Copped the RedMagic 10 Pro and as a gaming console it is absolutely out of control. It is truly made for gaming.

I was going to switch and use it as a daily driver but it is pretty complicated from a Verizon perspective. It looks like I will just keep it as a console.

Yikes! Samsung reportedly cutting Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 production by nearly 40%

This doesn't bode well for the future of foldable phones

The report comes from ETNews (via @Jukanlosreve) and says Samsung plans to reduce production of its foldable phones to around 5 million units — 3 million for the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and 2 million for the Z Fold 7. This drop is significant compared to the current Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6, which have 8.2 million units total. Overall, the company is predicted to build 39% fewer phones.

I'm not surprised considering most people haven't jumped on the flip/fold train. Shouldn't be an issue for those who actually want one. This is also another case of bad marketing buy Samsung.

Great tech, just a bit of a niche luxury item in current economy. Maybe when the cost to produce drops drastically and they can offer a better price.

Having had the z fold 3 for almost 2 years, I'm never going back to standard phones. Fold phones are my new standard. That design will probably never overtake standard phones, but there will always be a need for niche alternatives.

I'll most likely upgrade to the 4 or 5 in 2025. Prices are looking pretty good

I don’t think Samsung is changing the design for the upcoming phones but if they have any good trade-in deals I might trade-in my S24 just because.

Feel exactly the same way. Found myself missing and going back to my S23 Ultra which is more practical IMO.

I did a S9 to a S21 free of charge, just cover taxes, but that was in 2021. Times might have changed since then.
