Yo, delivery and voice are a pretty big deal. You can have the illest lyrics in the world (which Wale does not) and still be hard to listen to, which Wale is.

i know this is old.. but the juicy J that used to have "Stomps" and "Ha..Sssss" between bars looped over and over again and rapping "mechanically" to the beat with dubbed vocals was the best Juicy J.. this TG juicy.. Its just not what the fans wanted..but hs making money so he doesnt care..
