i don't think he was saying the centers today are better, but he's wrong in assuming they could even hang with them. all said and done, different game these days and those guys would probably just get offensive fouls all the time for no damn reason

Yea it's a different game and different rules. Depends on what rules they'd be playing with.

What ever happen to moves like the finger role, the sky hook, and behind the back and no look passing. Where guys like Magic and Bird stand alone. Those 2 guys were as complete of basketball players as there has ever been. Both could do it all. Why I've grown to appreciate Magic and Bird as much as I do MJ. But Big guys back then had to know how to play with their back to the basket. Which today is extremely rare. The is no mid range game. It's all layups/dunks or 3s. It's fun but annoying at times too.

its advanced statistics or that hollinger crap. it makes sense i guess.

I hardly ever see any no look or behind the back passes. If someone does make one the announcers like go crazy like it was something special when that used to be the norm. And as heavily used and effective as the finger role was for so many players I'm surprised to hardly ever see that move these days. Hell I hardly see any isolated post ups anymore in today's game.

lebron is the king of the fake no look pass, looking away after the pass leaves his points for style points but no functionality

magic is the only guy ive seen consistently use the no look as a way to beat the defense

I don't know man

These dudes dont watch BB. Too many ppl on this board be like dudes on "The Starters"

Lebron :lol not even close "Magic Johnson - Passing Skills" on YouTube:
so obvious Lebron is a wannabe Magic

Magic was a better passer than Lebron

Lebron vs Bird, its harder to tell because Lebron is more ball dominant than Bird

Lebron has played point guard alot in his career. Bird played more like Lebron in his Heat years. Meaning passing out of the post and elbow not dribbling around and finding the open man.

Yea i saw alot of that from him too, in Miami. I've heard Lebron say he tries to model his game after Bird. Yea Lebron is more ball dominate than Bird, Bird had DJ(a true point guard) for the most part of his career. But Bird still had alot more iso post game than lebron. He def went to it more than bron does.
