Guys aren't talking out there, Beal looks lost, and the bench is horrendous.
On the positive side, I think Sato may have overtaken Trey Burke on the depth chart. Burke, made me wish Eric Maynor was back on the roster. He was that bad.

it's a shame John Wall had 34 and 10 and it still wasn't even close to a win. Defensively this roster is absolutely pathetic, so many terrible rotations that led to wide open shots and Derozan had his way.

And Burke only played 6 minutes.
For all the "potential," we knew there was a reason the Jazz got rid of this guy for a second round pick. (And kept Shelvin Mack, I might add.) The Wizards didn't extend Burke, so, as failed Wizards' gambles go, at least this one wasn't too costly.
Meanwhile, the other player they declined to extend, Otto Porter, actually showed up tonight - unlike our $128 million man, Bradley Beal. Beal picked up 8 points in the opening minutes and then disappeared. Morris may as well have sat out entirely. Wall tried his best to take over, but he can't do it alone - nor should he be hurling himself into the teeth of the defense every possession. If he misses 10+ games, we're playing for ping pong balls. Again.
I will say this: the coaching staff at least appears to be learning.... albeit very slowly. Jason Stiff did not play in this game. They tried Nicholson at center instead. After facing criticism for his amateurish wholesale substitution patterns in the first two games, Brooks took baby steps towards a more modern, staggered rotation tonight. And, of course, after the Trey Burke debacle in the first half, Brooks finally released Satoransky.
Personally, I'm ready to see McLellan at the backup 2, with Satoransky taking over reserve point guard duty. It's not like they can do much worse than Burke and Thornton.

According to someone in the comments section on BF, who was watching the post game show, J. Michael said that Burke is out of the rotation. Brooks can't take it anymore.

Also, I hope that this aggressive version of Otto is here to stay. Wouldn't it be something if he ends up being a legit 2nd option? He made 9/10 shots from within 3-4 feet of the hoop and he was giving Derozan fits defensively. DD got the majority of his points when Porter wasn't on him.

Best thing about Beal was his old lady transferring to Mason. Once he left her...he been buns.
I was having a drink with Marc Barnes last week in Tysons and he was telling how they denied/rejected Beal's new hood rat skank entrance at Park because nobody knew who she was.
Not sure when Beal got caught up in the nightlife scene....but it clearly shows on his game.
