Wayne vs CM -- OG Maco voice .... Tyga "U was right"

The concept of him having a team to write r&b songs together isn't hard to fathom at all.

What I said is I don't believe he has a ghostwriter sitting there penning verses for him.

Googled her and first thing that popped up is "Shi Wisdom denies being drakes ghostwriter" lol she said she wrote a song WITH drake
That isn't the first thing that pops up.

This is.

If you can't gather from her entire tone in that article what she's REALLY saying...so be it. You should probably understand how contracts work also. There's a reason she isn't denying it FLAT OUT.

So all the 30+ bench warmers on ymcmb are ghost writers right now

Alot of them. Ghost writers aren't nothing new, since the 70's rnb didn't write there stuff. I'm sure Beyonce don't write her stuff

Ghost writers get paid alot alot. Plus they probably earn like 25 to 50 cent per cd sold, which in music terms is a half of point per album

To prove Wayne and others, any artist have ghost writers, look on their cd album cover at the credits next to song title. That shows who wrote the song.

Sometimes it's under the song title. It will show a list of names only

Those are writers. Some ask for credit on the album some stay under radar

Being a ghostwriter isn't the business if they just paying you straight up instead of publishing.

All this talk about Drake and Wayne ghostwriters but the only folks I see on their credits are producers and the original writers of the sample in their beats.

in most of these record deal situations they're the ones getting the paper. They love to promote the myth that the artist partied all the money away. The public blames the Artist while the industry gets to do it again to another one.

You got dudes who dropped indie albums back in the day still eating because they didn't have everyones hands in their deal.

actually I can't call them ghostwriters because they're getting straight up writing credits/publishing and labels be bidding on the tracks

That's only half of the publishing you are referring to.

Thats still a ghostwriter but just better business, the dream does that

Future could be eating off drunk in love if he had his business right

Drake don't got ghostwriters, he has help with SOME lines but not full on verses/songs...I know for "Connect" some girl texted him the first line he spit on there...but other than that, no. For song credits, even lending a word will earn you a credit for legal purposes. Look at Kanye/Cyhi The Prince

r&b/pop ghostwriters make bank

Hell yeah. Ne-Yo and Dreams grandkids will be eating off of their song writing money.

This. Most of the time you just see producers and sample credits. The whole ghostwriting argument is pointless unless you got some real proof. It would be funny as hell if Boo was responsible for Wayne's hits, or that fat white dude Drake keeps around is writing his ****.

Technically that's considered writing for someone. Helping someone with lines is co writing.

No I know I just don't think its as much as people say

@ budging to the  point where you can admit someone has help with a "few lines" but the idea of anything more than that is just totally unbelievable

It's cash money with baby shady butt. He probably put in the contract they won't be listed as a writer

Majority of ghost writers get points off the album(money)

Being a writer is the business. You don't have to deal with a crew, lawyers in your pocket, touring money, keeping up your celeb look, all kind of stuff. You write and get get paid and get royalty checks in the mail

I'm sure cash money have a gag order . they can't say they wrote the album or they will lose money

Nicki boyfriend. He floss on his Twitter the gold album plaq he got for being a writer even think wasn't on the song

Nothing wrong with ghost writers. Majority of rnb singers have writers. They can sing but not write

Rkelly was a ghost writer well can't say ghost because it was known. He wrote for Michael Jackson alliyah and alot more

Labels hire on ghost wroters all the time just to write for artist

Some artist hire there own and Payette out their pocket. Like if you had a few songs I would pay you 10k for 4 songs and credit myself

Most of rappers are broke. They may have 200 or 300k to their name but they aren't paid like u think

If the writer is independent or signed to less ppl, his takehome is gonna be a lot more than the artist performing the song.

True.. Really because he don't have a lot of people I'm his pockets. Producers get paid more then the artist

Timberland was charging 100k a beat at his prime

Jay Z hired in house producers. He got like 6 producers in house

Wayne went on the best run we've ever seen for a rapper regardless of what he is now though.

So 94-97 Biggie don't exist now?

96-03 Jay don't exist now?

97-02 DMX don't exist now?

98-04 Eminem don't exist now?

02-07 50 don't exist now?

My bad if you were embellishing a bit to get your point across.

Right they make their money and go home

Drake got writers I checked his album credits

Writes can charge this is a low number 5k a song and 25 cents per single sold. If a album a single song went Plat 1 million sold they get 250k!

If they wrote more songs for an artist they will get paid more. That's how gillie the kid paid. He still eating off Carter 1. He wrote the whole album

Nicki boyfriend wrote a few singles that went Plat. He got bread.. He could charge 30k person up front an 25 cent per single sold. Her singles went Plat.

With no one in your pockets that's alot of money. I'm sure he got more

Producers usually do the same... Of course contract vary per person

They get money per album sold or single song

A writer an say if it sells or gold up my pay

Rkelly was getting alot more probably a dollar per cd sold
