Weird Nike Appreciation Thread

Yeah I was just browsing some ISPA clothes on NDC to see what's out there. Looks like ISPA's picked up from where the Errolson Hugh nikelab era ended. Techwear category

those ispas were weird and not just odd-looking. on-feet, it felt like wearing omelettes as there's no firm sole so I'd be squishing back and forth. they felt real flimsy too. returned em

ayyy, this is a thread for me as most of my shoes are weird

Good! Keep doin you!!

CPFM has definitely pushed the boundaries. Although it feels like they do it just for the sake of it. There's no innovation or performance benefit, just shock value. I hated those green fuzzy shoes lol

The shox BB that VC started with were alpha project right? Were any of his other sigs?

If I remember correctly, the Shox BB was the only one that was in the Alpha Project, his sigs were not part of it.

Going by the photos I posted previously and below, it looks like the VC1 and VC2 were part of the Alpha Project

Shout out to Prof K for this photo when he did the review on kicksology.net

Alpha Project didn’t last long. Creative director left in 2000. VC 1 came out in 2001. From my understanding, there were shoes designed underneath the initial AP program and they even released later down the road with the 5 dots. However, the AP no longer existed.

The only shox I ever had were the shox elevate. I was in 4th grade so it was 2004ish and they were kind of like a USA colorway, although I don't think anyone on team USA wore them that year. Many other NBA players wore TB/PE colors, though. Were any shox actually good hoops performers?

Had both of these when I was in the Navy. To me they were perfect. We didn’t have organized PT at the time, so we played a ton of pickup ball. Shox Bomber lows were my favorite. I’d still wear them today if I had em.
